The Queen of Diamonds Softball Club is a nonprofit organization which was formed in 1990 and has built a reputation of being a respected and competitive girl’s fast pitch softball organization. The Queen of Diamonds aspires to be an outstanding educational athletic club that provides a high-quality experience to every athlete. A high quality experience is one in which every athlete is coached using the principles of positive coaching and encouragement. The purpose of the Queen of Diamonds Softball Club is to develop a competitive girl’s fast pitch softball program whose goals are to develop players capable of competing at a higher level.
The Queen of Diamonds Softball Club has set many goals for its athletes. One of the primary goals is to create an environment in which players can reach their full potential and achieve the self confidence and positive self-esteem necessary to be successful both on and off the field. Another goal is to promote and enforce standards of personal behavior and sportsmanship by honoring the game of girls fast pitch softball. The Queen of Diamonds Softball Club subscribes to the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) philosophy that sportsmanship is attained through respecting the rules, opponents, officials, teammates, and one’s self. It is this behavior which will help develop the character skills, leadership skills, and confidence needed to be successful young women.
