     Ashley graduated from West Lincoln High School in 2010, where she played under head coach Mia Gantt ... Lettered all four years ... Was a four-time All-Conference selection ... Named to the All-State Team twice ... Recorded 842 strikeouts for her high school career.  After graduating, Ashley chose to continue playing softball at Walters State Community College before transfering to Gardner Webb to play closer to home.

     Prior to Gardner-Webb (Walters State CC): Ashley pitched for two seasons at Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tenn. ... Set a new school record for most strikeouts and wins as a pitcher at Walters State ... Totaled 412 strikeouts in two years ... Posted an overall record of 55-9 overall ...Was named the 2011 Pitcher of the Year for the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA).

    In 2013 and 2014 at Gardner-Webb: Ashley appeared in 50 games, starting 36 in the circle for GWU … Made her first career start in the season opener versus Furman …Picked up her first career win at GWU in the 4-2 victory over UNC-Wilmington at the Seahawk Classic … Went the distance, allowing only two runs on four hits, while striking out five in the 4-2 complete game win over UNC-Wilmington … Posted one save on the season which came in GWU’s 9-5 win over Morehead State at the Seahawk Classic …Recorded a team-high eight wins on the season … Registered a team-high 11 complete games on the year … Also posted a team-high 67 strikeouts for the season … Led the team (2014) with a 4.75 ERA and 116.1 innings pitched for the year … Issued 60 walks on the season … Was 6-7 overall in Big South Conference play… Posted acomplete game win over Coastal Carolina, holding the Chanticleers to two runs on two hits, while striking out three in the 3-2 win… Picked up a win in 4.1 innings of work in the first gameof the conference doubleheader at Presbyterian … Earned a complete game 4-2 win at Liberty, allowing two runs on 10 hits,while striking out five … Also posted a complete game 4-1win over North Carolina A&T, surrendering one unearned run onfive hits while striking out four in the victory … Posted two straight complete game wins over Charleston Southern, strikingout a season-high nine batters in the 7-1 game one win and thenholding them to four runs on seven hits, while striking out four inthe 7-4 series finale victory … Recorded a 1-0 complete gameshutout win over Radford at home, holding the Highlanders to only five hits, while striking out four in the win … Also pitched all seven innings of the contest in losses at home to Furman and Winthrop … Went six innings and gave up only two runs in athe 2-1 home loss to USC Upstate … Made the start and went 4.1 innings of work in GWU’s 4-3 loss to No. 2 Campbell inthe first round of the 2013 Big South Softball ChampionshipTournament ... Earned a spot on the 2012-13 Big South Presidential Honor Roll ... Named a 2012-13 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete.
