Tournament Report
Old Business
1. Florida Trip recap – Bill reported that it went well, and weather was good. No major issues occurred during the trip. The girls appeared to have a lot of fun and improved a lot over the course of the trip.
2. Spring Horse show recap – no official numbers in yet for money raised but everyone who participated in working shifts agreed that sales were very high over the weekend so we should
3. Fundraiser discussion (BW3 fundraiser) – Mike is working on setting up a date for this with BW3 and will get the details out once they are finalized.
New Business
1. Field sign discussion – updated field sign forms will be sent out again by Jeff. Most of the field signs are expired, so we’re going to try to get businesses in the area to renew or purchase a field sign. The board discussed the possibility of a system that rewards players for selling field signs to potentially reduce their cost for the Florida trip. Heather
recommended checking our bylaws and making sure we would not violate them by doing so. The board consensus was to table this and do some research on what this plan would look like for next season. Discussion about the current state of signs and those that need to be renewed.
2. Senior night plans – need to ask Dave to pick a night for this and military, alumni night, etc. Heather will be working on ordering the banner and Mike will order blanket and flowers for Ashleigh (our only senior this year).
Open Discussion
Discussion was held about state of JV equipment and looking at updating helmets, uniforms, etc. There are parent concerns about the helmets and state of the gear bags that JV players are expected to use. Suggestions were made about approaching the school to potentially help fund this or look at other sources of funding to cover this cost. Mike suggested we loop Dave into this discussion and put this issue on the agenda for discussion in May.
Meeting Adjourned – 7:14pm
