The award-winning Thomas County Central Video/Audio Production program is proud to be a part of the tradition that is Yellow Jacket football. In addition to operating all of the equipment used to create the instant replays you will watch on our video board tonight, broadcasting students also provide “The Yellow Jacket Tailgate Show” programming that is aired as part of Central’s radio broadcasts on Friday nights, as well as edit all of the video features shown before the games, and assist all Yellow Jacket athletes in compiling videos used to help in recruiting, including professionally produced video highlights to help raise awareness of players like Ray Drew, Adam Choice, and Austin Bryant. As a result of their efforts in the athletic arena, the department has been invited by Florida State University to operate cameras and the entire replay system inside Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee for a Seminole home game, and also attended the University of Georgia G-Day game as the guest of the Bulldog football program and their video production department, which, by the way, featured a TCCHS broadcasting alumnus (Austin Taylor) as one of their principal cameramen/editors. All students on our crew tonight are learning skills that will be applicable in college or in a broadcasting career after high school.
