Calderone, Jim

Jimmy Calderone joined the Muskies in 2007 and played parts of 12 seasons with the team. He finished with a .328 average in over 1300 at bats. He appeared in 395 games, the 8th most in Muskies history.  His 437 base hits and 340 runs scored are the third most ever for the Muskies, putting him behind only CSBL Hall Famers Todd Sippel and Steve Lane in both categories. Sippel, Lane and Hall of Famer Dave Blomberg are the only Muskies with more at bats as a Muskie than Calderone. In 2007, he was awarded the Muskies' Patrick Rademacher Scholarship.

A slick fielding second baseman for most of his Muskie career, Jimmy also played shortstop and third base at times for Beecher. He was a two-time CSBL All Star and was named to the 2016 National Amateur Baseball Federation All World Series Team. In 2010, he played professionally with the Frontier League's Windy City Thunderbolts.
