Practice
Scheduled practices are posted on TeamSnap.
If you have an extenuating circumstance that will cause you to miss practice or arrive late, please kindly report conflicts to Coach Malik via email. Coach Malik supports the academic success of his players and understands that conflicts may arise.
Missing the last practice prior to a tournament may result in reduced playing time or no playing time at the tournament, which is subject to Coach Malik's discretion.

Club Fees & Requirements
Every effort is made to keep the club fees to a minimum. The prices are determined by practice hours and the related cost of facility rental, coaching fees, and various overhead costs including insurances, registration with US Field Hockey, accounting, etc. Coach Malik makes every effort to arrange payment plans for those who are unable to pay the club fees on schedule.
All Club Members MUST:
1. Have an active membership to USA Field Hockey with M Malik Stars Club listed as your club affiliation by the start of the season. Players will be required to provide proof of membership. Please go to the following website to affiliate with Malik Stars (U19 USA memberships are for U14, U16, U19 players) https://webpoint.usfieldhockey.com/wp/Memberships/Join.asp
2. Be insured by a medical carrier.
3. Submit a completed registration form, waiver and the appropriate membership fee
4. Have the required uniform, which includes 2 jerseys, 1 skirt, red and white socks, and 1 team warmup (jacket and pants).
Tournaments
Tournaments will be offered to all players. Different age groups and skill level teams will go to different tournaments. Tournaments are selected in order to allow each player a competitive playing environment. Given the different stages of development of players at any given time, players may be invited to different tournaments. However, all players will receive invitations to the minimum tournaments stated for that particular season. When invited, it is the players responsibility to be available and to accept the invitation for the tournament within the time allotted. Every effort will be made to ensure invitations are extended based on the families response to availability. Declining the invitation will count towards the clubs responsibility to invite the player to the minimum tournaments offered in a given season and no refunds provided.
Tournament costs for each player will be collected before the start of each season. The fees cover the cost of the tournament and the coach.
Fees to attend the USA Field Hockey National Indoor Tournament (NIT), NIT Qualifier's, and other travel tournaments like the Festival Showcase (Palm Springs, CA) and Disney Field Hockey Showcase (Orlando, FL) ARE NOT included in the tournament fee that is collected up front. These additional fee costs will be collected seperately. These tournaments will be subject to player selection by Coach Malik and may require additional try-outs. No player is guaranteed a spot on these teams.
Tournaments offered may be located in MD, PA, NJ, VA, FL (most common) and may require overnight accommodations and travel fees. Travel expenses and overnight accommodations are your responsibility.
Time allocated per player at a tournament is always at the coaches discretion. The clubs goal at the tournament is to "win". There is "NO" guaranteed playing time at a tournament.
