Coach Arnold (Coach A) has been privately coaching volleyball for over 10 years and this year is her first-year coaching at West Broward. Since 2000 Coach A has played on local, state, and national club teams. Coach A graduated in 2006 from Plantation High, where she started on Varsity all four years of High School and helped lead the Colonels to back-to-back district titles in 2003 and 2004. In her senior year, she made all-county and was awarded Player of the Year in her district.
After Coach A's senior volleyball season, she was injured in a car accident which led her to defer from the University of Central Florida for a year. It was during rehabilitation that she decided since she could not perform at the collegiate level, she would go into coaching. So, for the 2006-2007 school year, Coach A at 18 years old became the youngest employee in the Broward County Public School System and went to be the Head JV coach and the Assistant Varsity coach at Plantation High School. That year the JV team went undefeated.
In 2008 Coach A pursued her college career and in 2013 graduated from the University of Central Florida with an undergraduate degree in Secondary English Language Arts Education. She then went on to pursue her master's degree in Education in Leadership at Florida Atlantic University. Coach A currently teaches 9th and 10th-grade AICE General Paper at Cypress Bay High School. She has been teaching for 6 years.
Off the court and outside of the classroom, Coach A enjoys outdoor activities, such as playing beach volleyball, paddle boarding, cooking, and exploring new places. In addition, she has become an entrepreneur and started her very own party planning business called Pop Party Play.
