Dear Coaches,
Through out the years I have had the opportunity to coach all four of my sons in youth basketball while I was coaching on both the junior college and high school levels. I grew to appreciate the efforts of fellow youth coaches who volunteered their time, energy, and financial resources to help their players learn the game and the value of competition.
In an effort to offer some help to these coaches, I decided to create a coaches manual for the volunteer youth basketball coach along with an accompanying video. The manual and video contain some basic concepts, principles and ideas for coaches that do not have a lot of time to dedicate to studying the art of coaching basketball. If applied, these concepts will help you have a more enjoyable coaching experience which in turn will provide the same for your teams and individual players.
Please feel free to click on the link below to download free of charge a copy of "Taking You Through the Season: A Guide for the Volunteer Youth Basketball Coach". Please feel free to share it with other coaches. I will also have the accompanying video posted as well in the near future.
Best wishes for much success in your coaching endeavors,
Mike May
