COACHING CERTIFICATE:

There are 2 or 3 Steps to get your coach certification:

1. Background check - this is good for 2 years and it's done online. Go to https://www.themat.com and follow the online instructions (you will have to create a USA wrestling account if not already done. The background check will cost you about $15. The results to your background check will be emailed to you in about 3 days. Once received, please foward to millvalleywrestling@gmail.com. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO GET ON THE MAT AND HELP OUT. You have to create a USA wrestling membership first. Then go to http://www.tclogiq.com/   This will allow you to start the background screen process.

2. Obtain a coaches card - after you have an approved background check, complete the MVWC Coach Application (soon to be created) and provide it, the email showing your background check is approved and $37 to Coach Jason. The club must send this request to the state office. You will get your card back in about 14 days. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO GET ON THE MAT AT SMALLER TOURNAMENTS TO COACH.

3. Get bronze certification - for larger tournaments, bronze or higher coach's certification is required for a coach to be mat side. This is a national level coaches certification (class 6-7 hours), taught at various locations across the country. It is good for life and costs about $60. www.usawks.org or www.missouriusawrestling.org will have the latest classes in Kansas and Missouri. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO GET ON THE MAT AT ALL TOURNAMENTS (to include end of season qualification tournaments) and gives you wrestling tools/techniques.
