Peterborough Rugby - Code of Conduct

 

The Club

  • Ensures all players are coached in a safe environment with adequate first aid readily at hand.

  • Does NOT tolerate harrassment or the use profane language around players, referees, coaches or guests.

  • The executive and officers of Peterborough Rugby, have a zero tolerance policy towards any illegal substance abuse, including consumption by minors. This applies to social and athletic illegal substances.

  • No consumption of alcholic beverages is allowed at the Nicholl's Oval, unless in the Clubhouse facility, and purchased from the Club.

     

Parents, Coaches and Spectators

  • Recognize the importance of fun and enjoyment for players.

  • Understand that most learning is done through doing.

  • Appreciate the needs of players before the needs of the sport.

  • Keep winning and losing in perspective – encourage players to behave with dignity in all circumstances.  This sport is for their enjoyment, not yours.

  • Respect all referees and the decisions they make, even if they appear to make a mistake and ensure that the players recognize that they must do the same.

  • Provide positive verbal feedback in a constructive and encouraging manner.

  • Understand that verbal and non verbal abuse of players, coaches or officials is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Complaints

  • Please catalogue with a date,  time, infraction, names of people involved, and report to Trevor Kidd
