A Book by Coach Jonathan Gess
As coaches, we want to be successful and we want to win. As Christian coaches, we know we are called to a much higher purpose than just winning football games. We are called to be great husbands, great dads, and men who shine as lights for Jesus Christ. As a coach, what does that look like and how are we to go about putting Christ before winning? If we do not have a plan and are not intentional in pursuing our plan, we will fail. We will find ourselves once again bowing down to the god of winning and success.

Many people are telling me they can’t purchase the book on Amazon. I have no idea how to fix that problem so I bought a whole bunch and am selling them for 10 dollars. If you want me to mail it to you we can do that. I have a bunch at ELCA. Also, many people it is a football book. It is not. It is a book on the struggle of pursuing worldly glory verse surrendering all to Jesus Christ. In some way we all want it. For me it would be winning or being the best at what I do. For others, it may be money or beauty or intelligence. All of us are sinners and struggle with putting ourselves before Jesus. As Christians, we are conflicted. Every lady that has read it has liked it so women can relate to it as well. We all have similar struggles. Thanks!!
