Hands can't lead the swing, nor should they ever get in front of the back hip before contact, if this occurs the bat never gets level in the hitting zone. Your hands should never start before your stride foot hits the ground.
Get GOING!! Foot down, hands back!!
Keep your hands above the ball.
KEEP BOTH EYES ON THE BALL ALL THE WAY INTO THE MITT, never give up on a close pitch too early!!!!
Same swing every time, no matter the location of the pitch with the only differences being at what location contact is made and where the back hip finishes! Where the back hip finishes is where the ball goes!!
Never rush your hands and try to have relaxed arms and shoulders during the swing. Let your core swing your hands for you.
Work the count to your favor, when ahead in the count be aggressive and drive strikes in only your zone, with 2 strikes against you, choke up, shorten up and tidy up your swing focusing on putting the barrel straight to the ball.
