Terms of Equipment Use
Each squad member shall be responsible for the replacement of items if lost, damaged, altered or misused upon inspection at equipment hand in and shall be billed accordingly: All distributed equipment is the sole property of the WYFL. As a member of the Woodford Youth Football League (WYFL), a helmet, shoulder pads, and accessories are provided for use by the WYFL. Each squad member is responsible for all uniforms and equipment assigned to them, and must maintain these articles in a presentable and clean condition throughout the season. Squad members should perform weekly maintenance on the equipment (i.e. tightening of screws/straps and washing of pads) to ensure correct performance of the equipment and safety.

3.) Altering of equipment from original condition
Equipment turn in dates will be announced immediately following the last regular season games. It is the parents and players responsibility to return all items in satisfactory conditions (cleaned, mouth guards removed, approved decals removed, pant pads removed) and on time to their respective head coach. You will not be able to register for future sports until the equipment is returned, replaced and/or paid for completely. The WYFL reserves the right to use any method it deems necessary to recapture unreturned equipment and/or assessed fees. If you are unable to return equipment on posted return dates, it is your responsibility to contact your head coach or league official to schedule a time for return. All equipment must be returned before the date advised following the 2019 season to avoid collection and/or assessment of fees.
Use of own Helmets and Shoulder Pads
The WYFL understands that technology evolves at a rapid pace. While our protective equipment is more than adequate and meets all NOSCAE requirements, we realize that parents sometimes prefer to purchase advanced equipment for their child.
Guidelines for using own equipment
Parents and players assume all liability for purchase, sizing, maintenance, repair and reconditioning when using their own equipment
If you intend to use your own helmet or shoulder pads, please inform the WYFL representative at equipment hand out or your coach if changes are made during season.
