What is included with Season Fees and Slush Fees?

Registration for player, ice cost, Athletico, dry land conditioning, first warm up jacket, practice jersey, team photos, tournament entry fees, coaches expenses for away tournaments.

 

Who is eligible to try out?

Fall/Winter Season - players must be registered to attend Glenbrook South High School.

Spring Season - incoming players (who will be registered) and current players attending Glenbrook South High School.

 

How many teams will be formed?

There will be one (1) team at the Varsity level and one (1) team at the Junior Varsity level for the Fall/Winter season and the Spring season.  Cuts will likely take place for both seasons.

 

Player Uniforms Cost?

• Sizing will be done at the Parent/Player Meeting. A list of "Available Numbers" will be at the meeting.
• The GBS Titan Hockey Club provides each new player with their first warm up jacket.  The warm up jacket with a WHITE BUTTON-DOWN SHIRT  and KHAKI PANTS is part of the Club uniform and must be worn to every game.
• One practice jersey per player is provided by the Club for the Fall/Winter season.
• Every player will responsible for the payment of the following (separate from season fees):  home & away game jerseys, home & away game socks, GBS hockey logo bag and pant shell. The first Varsity Team Gold Jersey and Gold Socks are provided by the Club.
• Navy helmet.
• Navy or navy and gold gloves.
• Neck guard and mouth guard as required by USA Hockey for ALL practices and games.

These uniforms are to last for all four years of high school. If returning players need any changes in their uniform (larger warm-ups, new socks, etc.) they are responsible for the total cost of their order.

 

How many tournaments?

Typically the Varsity team participates in two local tournaments and one away tournament which are covered by the club.

Typically, the Juior Varsity team participates in one local tournament and one or two away tournaments, which are covered by the club.

Both teams participate in the same local Thanksgiving Tournament.

 

SHL League Playoffs and State Playoffs: Take place during February and March.  Details will be posted once schedules are confirmed. All players are required to be in attendance.

 

Are there Volunteer Opportunities?

Yes.  The GBS Titan Hockey Clubis run by volunteers.  The Board and/or Team Managers will ask for volunteers during the season and ask that all parents get involved by volunteering.
