Who plays club hockey?

Club hockey is for players who are looking to continue playing at a very competitive level, while still having enough time for social and educational activities.  The team consists of former Junior A, AAA, AA, and high school players.

 

When do tryouts start?

Tryouts will start the week before classes start. Please check the schedule for tryout information dates and times.

You will need to arrive at the Webster Groves Ice Arena around 45 minutes before the start of the first tryout.

 

What do I do with my bag if I am living in the dorms?

During tryouts you will have to keep the bag in your room. If you make the team, you will be able to keep your bag in the team’s locker room at the rink.

 

How often does the team practice?

There are two practices per week: Monday and Thursday nights.  Players are expected to make as many practices as possible, but the coaches understand that academics must come first.  

All academic conflicts simply need to be communicated to the coaching staff.

 

Where are practices and home games?

All practices and Home games are held at the Webster Groves Ice Arena about 10 minutes from campus.

 How long is the season?

Tryouts start the first week of school and nationals will usually end in mid March.  

The team will travel by bus 3-4 times per season.

 

What does it cost to play?

Dues vary: Rookies ($2100), veterans ($2000), practice players ($1000).  This includes all team expenses.
