U11–U18 Game Rescheduling Process

All game reschedule requests must be approved by the SNBMHL VP before any alternate arrangements are made by either team.

Submit all requests using the online form:

Rescheduling Guidelines

  • Approved games must be played within the same half of the season.

  • There is no set time frame (e.g. 1 week, 3 weeks) for when they must be replayed.

  • Ice schedulers will provide the new date and time once ice availability and scheduling factors have been reviewed.

  • If there are no conflicts with other league or tournament games on the proposed date, the new date must be accepted.

Games will not be rescheduled for:

  • Lack of players or team volunteers

  • Conflicts with a scheduled practice

  • Team events or functions

  • Conflicts with a previously arranged exhibition game

Once the league approves the request, the home ice scheduler will provide up to two alternate dates/times for the rescheduled game. If the teams cannot agree and neither has a league or tournament game on the proposed dates, the SNBMHL VP will review and decide on a new game date and time.

Please refer to Bylaw 3.17 of the SNBMHL Constitution for the consequences of not following proper rescheduling procedures.

PROCEDURE FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER

Only the visiting team may request a reschedule due to weather.
Please provide approximately 4 hours’ notice before game time. (6 hours for games being played outside of District 5 geographical area)
Requests submitted earlier will not be reviewed until within the 4-hour window.
Example: A request submitted at 8 a.m. for a 7 p.m. game will not be reviewed until 3 p.m.

Use the same online form as listed above to submit the request.

The visiting team coach contacts the home team coach or manager to advise that weather is affecting travel for the scheduled game (phone call is fine but must be confirmed by email).
Home team is responsible for notifying its ice scheduler and referee scheduler of the cancellation, following their Association’s procedures.
