Junior Referee Program

Must be 11 or 12 for the season you are considering refereeing.

Will receive training to independently referee u6-u8 games.

Will receive the opportunity to be a paid linesman for U10-14 games if a certified referee is not assigned. (must be scheduled to be paid)

Compensation is provided per game after the completion of the season.

Skills necessary

• using a whistle to control the game start and stop
• knowledge of the rules at each level of play (u6 & u8 only)
• assisting the younger players with game rules
• encouraging young players by allowing opportunities to retry failed restart attempts
• willingness to work with the coaches facilitating the game
• timeliness
