Letterman Guidelines:
In order to qualify for a letterman jacket, all underclassman must letter in one sport for two years or two sports for one year each. All seniors will be able to order their jackets prior to their senior year, regardless of their number of years lettering.
Baseball Criteria:
We will use one of the five guidelines below to determine if a player letters for that particular season. These will give all players several different pathways to meeting our lettering criteria. Using this process is an extremely fair option and driven solely by the participation numbers throughout the season.
Hitters - We take the total number of games played and multiply that by 3 to calculate the average number of at bats a player gets in a year. To letter based on at bats, our players must get 25% of the total average AB's in a season.
Pitchers - A pitcher can letter by either pitching in 25% of all the innings played or make appearances in 25% of the games that we play.
Defense - A player can letter by participating in 25% of all defensive innings throughout our season.
Baserunner - Since this is an offensive category, a player can letter by being a runner for 25% of the total average of AB's in a season.
Games Played - A player can letter by simply playing in 25% of all games played throughout the season.
