Player Stories

From the Bulldogs to PLU:

The Eastside Football Program is proud to have players move on to play football at universities all over the state. Joey Sullivan was part of the Bulldogs defense from day 1. He played with us for 3 years before moving on to play at Pacific Lutheran University and pursue his degree in Kinesiology. Joey recently sat down with us to share his experience with the Bulldogs:

"It's great to see how far the team has come from the first season in 2013, becoming more established as a program and now going for a third straight league title. I had a ton of fun playing here and I’m thankful for my experience with the Bulldogs, being able to meet and play with a lot of different guys, and also for the coaches and volunteers who started it all up and gave a lot of kids including myself the opportunity to continue playing football.

It's cool to also have been a part of the first Bulldogs team. The players and coaches on that inaugural team, we did something pretty unique and memorable how we started the program.

I'm currently playing in my senior season at Pacific Lutheran University, pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, and on track to graduate this spring. It's been great to be able to continue school at a university and play at the next level, which I can credit to my time with the Bulldogs.”

Every season we strive to have more players leave with stories like Joey’s and we couldn’t do it without our community partnerships and pure dedication from all of our coaches and volunteers. Here’s to striving for another Championship season!
