Outdoor Program Information

The Year

The soccer year will match the current school year timelines.

The outdoor soccer year begins with the Fall Season (August-October) and ends with the Spring Season (March/April to May/June).

The BFSA does not organize the time outside of the scheduled periods during the Fall and Spring seasons beyond the administrative tasks necessary for the State. Therefore any games/tournaments played during these times are planned and prepared by coaches and families.

The Basics

Belle Fourche Soccer is a recreational league. Recreational leagues require randomization in team formation (unless combining siblings) as well as equitable playtime.

Children ages 4 - 18 are able to participate.

Volunteer coaches are assigned to teams by the BFSA Board and must pass required safety protocols. Coaches are responsible for setting their own practice schedules while being considerate of family availability.

The league maintains the field space and provides balls, cones, and pinnies for each team's practice and jerseys for each player to wear during games.

Games are usually scheduled for Saturdays but are subject to change due to weather and scheduling conflicts.

Youth and adult referees may be scheduled to oversee games.
