Parent Info

Dear Parents and Athletes:

Welcome to Lane 4 Track Club. We are excited that you and your athlete(s) will be maximizing their potential with us.   Participation with L4TC will require hard work and dedication on the part of the parent/guardian and the athlete, but we hope to make it a beneficial experience that will be well worth the time and effort.

Upon your decision to join the club, please complete the initial registration form for each participating family.   The packet includes a policy statement, medical information request, waiver and codes of conduct.  It is important that we have all registration forms by the third day that an athlete attends training for safety and liability reasons.  In addition, all new competing athletes registering for the first time must submit a legible copy of their birth certificate along with their USATF number.

Below are the rules that are expected to be adhered to by parents and athletes:

Lane 4 Track Club Athlete, Parent / Guardian Agreement:

PARENTS:
1. Respect for each athlete's right to train without distraction.
2. No parent / guardian is allowed to coach their athlete during Lane 4's training sessions.
3. Volunteer where needed with team activities (fundraisers, marketing, meets, athlete care
/ coordination etc.)
4. ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

ATHLETES:
1. Maintain high academic standards.
2. Respect for all adults in authority (coaches, officials, etc.)
3. Respect for all teammates and their property. (Includes social media.)
4. Keep a positive attitude in all situations.
5. No mid-drifts or inappropriate attire.
6. Lane 4 uniform must be worn during all AAU / USATF competitions. (Mandatory for all relay teams.)

The discipline issues below will be referred to the coaching staff and could result in immediate
dismissal from the program:

1. Fighting or physical harassment.
2. Possession of a weapon of any kind.
3. Threats or intimidation towards a coach/official or teammate (including social media)
4. Possession of alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs.
5. Suspension or expulsion from school.

Athletes compete for advancement within AAU and USATF organizations which may require travel for higher levels of competition.  This means that fundraising will be critical to our team’s success and ability to send qualifying athletes on to those higher levels of competition.   L4TC is a non-profit organization and will seek funding sources.  We will need your ideas, time, and participation this season and beyond, so please stay tuned for more details.

Sincerely,

Staff

L4TC
