Player Guidelines

GBS Titan Hockey Club Player Guidelines for 2018 - 2019

  1. The players are required to practice safety, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, good citizenship and have sound academics, proper conditioning and a winning attitude.
  2. Players with dedication, skills and good sportsmanship are selected to play on the team.  Individual achievements without team play will not be rewarded.
  3. Attendance is mandatory to all practices, games, meetings and tournaments.  Excused absences are allowed at the coach's discretion.  Players who repeatedly and habitually miss practices and games because of outside activities should expect, and will receive, less ice time.
  4. Attendance at all dry land sessions is mandatory by all players.
  5. Attendance is mandatory for all goalies, and the skaters who have been assigned to be shooters, at the goalie clinics.
  6. Being late for games and practices, including dry land and goalie clinics, is not acceptable.
  7. All players must have prescribed, clean, safe and properly fitting equipment at all practices and games.
  8. All players must abide by the pre-game "dress code" of the GBS Hockey warm up jacket and warm up pants.

  11. Incurring of excessive and blatantly unsafe penalties will not be tolerated.
  12. Demeaning, harassing and intimidation of our players, coaches or officials, in practices or games, is not allowed.  Inappropriate locker room, bench or ice conduct and fighting will not be tolerated.
  13. "Locker Boxing" of any kind will not be tolerated.  The GBS Titan Hockey Club will impose an AHAI mandated suspension for every incident.
  14. Repeated and intentional failure to follow instructions and disruptive behavior during games, practices or in the locker room will not be tolerated.
  15. All players must adhere to all Glenbrook South High School "Code of Conduct" rules and regulations.

  22. Cell phones must be turned off and put away while inside any of the hockey rinks, especially their locker rooms.  If an emergency call must be made, it is allowed only in the rinks' lobbies or the premises outside the rinks.  Violations will have consequences as determined by the GBS Titan Hockey Club Board.
