Grassroots first-time referees Hosted by South Dakota State Referee Committee

Run through the U.S. Soccer Learning Center

 

First-Time Referee Training: Cost $60-$75

Returning Futsal Referee Training: Cost $65

 

Game Pay depends on game level, position, and number of referees assigned. Ranges from $20-$55 per match.

 

Directions:

 

1. Go to the U.S. Soccer Learning Center website. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Select the center link for the Referee Program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Select Register for a Course.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Select the drop-down menu Grassroots First-time referees.

Then select Go to Course List.

 

 

 

 

 

5. Under HOST select South Dakota State Referee Committee.

There will be 2 options: 1 for those over 18 and 1 for those under 18. The classes are taken online but also need in-person training to be completed as well. If there is an option with a date and location, that is for the in-person section of the course.

 

 


 

Additional Course Details

All courses are found on the U.S. Soccer Learning Center. Be sure to choose the South Dakota State Referee Committee under HOST to ensure all formats are available.

Remote = Online only 

 

All first-time referees must take a field training course in addition to the online classes. See the available field training classes above or in the Learning Center.

Announcements

 

BFSA September 6, 2023 - All new grassroots-level student referees will be given the opportunity to receive their beginner's referee kit through the board. The following stipulations are required: a $25 deposit and a signed commitment with the BFSA to referee 5 games for Belle Fourche throughout the Fall, Indoor, and Spring Seasons. If the game commitments are fulfilled in the allotted time, the deposit will be returned to the student referee. If the game commitments are not fulfilled in the allotted time, the board will retain the deposit.
