Sadie Saine - Pfeiffer Eagle
Sadie Saine graduated from West Lincoln High School in 2011, where she played basketball and softball for the Lady Rebels. As a senior she was chosen as All-Conference, All-District, and All-State, while also adding a Conference Player of the Year to her resume. As a Freshman, Sadie appeared in 41 games... starting in 30 games and batting (.239)... third on the team in on base percentage (.346). Then as a Sophomore, she appeared in 41 games... starting in 39 and batting .234… third on the team in RBIs (11)… third on the team in stolen bases (8). Then as a Junior, Sadie played and started in 43 games... was third on the team in hits (31) and doubles (8)... fourth on the team in RBI's (12)... finished with one homerun and four stolen bases... and drew a team-high 15 walks. Her best year came as a senior, where Sadie played in 50 games, and had 60 hits while hitting .341... finished with 11 doubles, 1 triple, and 2 homeruns... also added 21 RBI's and 10 SB.... all of this was good enough to earn Saide second team All-Conference. Upon graduating, with a degree in health and physical education, Saide had established herself as one of the career best in several categories: ranking 7th in career games played (175)..., 3rd in career runs scored (87)..., 5th in doubles (25)..., 2nd in walks (58)..., as well as holding the single season record in at bats (175)..., and runs scored (44)..., while her 61 hits ranked as the 2nd best season in school history. Many of these records have since been broken, but this does not diminish the fact that Sadie Saine had one of the single greatest seasons in Pfeiffer softball history.
