Practice Times

Mondays & Wednesdays 7:00 - 9:20 (two sessions - times approximate)  

  Beginner/Intermediate: 7:00 - 8:00PM

The grouping and qualification for the Advanced group is at the discretion of the Head Coach who will assess the skater's abilities and readiness to pogress.  

2019-2020 Season practice schedule

• Monday, Sep 12, 2022 - Season begins  
• Monday, Oct. 10, 2022 (Thanksgiving) – no practice
• Monday, Dec. 26, 2022 (Boxing Day) – no practice
• Monday Jan 2, 2023  (New Year’s Day) 
• Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 (Family Day) – regular skating practice
• March Break – regular practice sessions
• Wednesday, Mar. 29, 2023 - Our last practice session for the season 

Driving Instructions:

Newmarket is approximately  50 km north of downtown Toronto. The Magna Centre, located at 800 Mulock Drive, is the home of the Jets. For weeky practices we are in Dressing Room 15 & 17.

From Downtown Toronto: Don Valley Pkwy. north approx. 14 km to Hwy-404 North. Continue north on Hwy-404 approx. 33 km to Mulock Dr./Vivian Rd./RR-74 (exit 49). Turn left on Mulock Dr./Vivian Rd./RR-74 and proceed west approx. 1.5 km to the Magna Centre on the left.
 

From Barrie: Hwy-400 south approx. 40 km to Rt-9/Newmarket/Orangeville (exit 55). Turn left on Rt-9 and proceed east approx. 7.5 km to Bathurst St./RR-38 in Newmarket. Turn right on Bathurst St./RR-38 and proceed south approx. 2 km to Mulock Dr./RR-74. Turn left on Mulock Dr./RR-74 and proceed east approx. 5 km to the Magna Centre on the right.
 

From the East (Hwy-401): Hwy-401 west to Don Valley Pkwy./Hwy-404 (exit 375). Proceed north on Hwy-404 approx. 33 km to Mulock Dr./Vivian Rd./RR-74 (exit 49). Turn left on Mulock Dr./Vivian Rd./RR-74 and proceed west approx. 1.5 km to the Magna Centre on the left.

From the West (Hwy-401): Hwy-401 east to Hwy-407 East (exit 330B). Continue east on Hwy-407 approx. 48 km to Hwy-404 North (exit 83). Proceed north on Hwy-404 approx. 25 km to Mulock Dr./Vivian Rd./RR-74 (exit 49). Turn left on Mulock Dr./Vivian Rd./RR-74 and proceed west approx. 1.5 km to Recreation Centre on the left.
