"Hi Canes Family,

I want to say thank you to all of our new friendships the Scarpelli’s have made over the past few years !!! I want to really take a minute to give a special thank you to Coach Pete Coach Jo and Coach Steve you have been amazing influences in Johns life and as John ages out he will have amazing memories to look back on! To Coach Pete your job is not the easiest but you made it look very easy you have always been fair and open to all the boys and I know how difficult that can be !!!I hope all of the returning families can see how special this program is !! Pete you not once ever embarrassed the boys no matter what bonehead situation they might have put the team in. We would always watch how you pulled individual players aside to correct and teach and that my friend is a super quality. So as we drove away John said something amazing a 17 year old boy who is supposed tough he said “ Hey dad I’m feeling really sad right now”” I will miss this team ,what a great group of FRIENDS “

"I’ve been meaning to send an email expressing our gratitude and appreciation for all you did for Jacob this past season. Jacob had an amazing season. He grew so much and made some great friendships.

We honestly had never heard of Canes before Jake and Scotty were approached about trying out and I can truly say it was one of the best baseball decisions we have made.

I’d be lying if I said I was not nervous and feeling totally unprepared about Jacob entering his junior year of high school and what is needed to prepare him for playing ball in college. He is very strong academically so we have that to pursue as well but I know Jakes goal is to play baseball in college.

I feel better have you guys and Canes in our corner. Any tips or suggestions you have please send them my way!

Again thank you! Thank you for the positive and strong leadership you gave Jacob. We are all very excited to see more Canes Baseball in the near future!!!

It has to be said what A great job the coaches did with all the tourneys,scrimmages, practices that happened during this unprecedented summer. Giving the boys a full baseball experience that they won’t forget. It’s been lots of fun watching the kids grow and making new friends.

Evan only joined right before the season started, but all the boys welcomed him to the group. The coaching was excellent and far exceeded our prior experience with AAU. And Pete was especially great about finding ways to keep Evan plugged in after he broke his hand right as the short season began. He continued to grow even though he was mostly grounded!

"You are the most popular person in the Tahan house. Tate went 3 for 3 in the 1st playoff game and hit a two out strike grand slam to win the game. Team was down 3-2. Hit it to left center. Thank you for helping him. The change is remarkable, incredible. Some how you got him to be confident. He's a different kid. A month ago he told my wife he would quit baseball and stick with lacrosse. Now he's all about baseball. Thanks again". - G. Tahan
