2022 Tournament Guidelines

 

COACHES:

  • To limit touching of money and possibility of transmitting germs and viruses, all tournaments will now have the following Team Gate Fees due, in addition to their tournament entry fee.  
    1. 2 game guarantee tournaments - 2022 Gate Fee TBD
    2. 3 and 4 game guarantee tournaments - 2022 Gate Fee TBD
    3. 5 game guarantee tournaments - 2022 Gate Fee TBD
    4. This fee must be paid Wed night before the weekend of the tournament
    5. This will protect everyone coming into the park
    6. Tournament entry fees should be paid online at USSSA.com
    7. Team gate fees should be paid at okshootout.com
  • Encourage players to wear their own helmet and use their own glove and bat
    1. If any item is to be shared, use Clorox wipes or disinfectant to wipe down between use
  • Encourage players to bring and drink their own water 
  • When using team catchers gear:
    1. If you are going to switch catchers, wipe down or spray equipment between innings before another player uses it.
  • Players and coaches are strongly encouraged to wear a mask or other covering mouth and nose
  • Work with your coaching staff to ensure players stay separated while inside the dugout
  • No pre-game or post-game handshakes; it is recommended to just line up on your foul line, wave and tell them ‘Good Game’.
  • Avoid team huddles after the game unless proper spacing can be maintained.
    1. Any huddle will need to be done AFTER leaving the dugout and field of play.
  • Please gather your equipment and leave the dugout immediately following the game so the dugout can be disinfected before the next team can enter.

 

PARENTS:

  • Please ensure all players have plenty of their own water to drink.   It is not recommended to share water in the dugouts. 
    • You are welcome to bring a cooler with drinks and/or food for you & your player, but a concession stand will also be available at the park.
  • When entering the park, please do your best to remain 6 feet behind the person in front of you to maintain proper social distancing.
  • Lawn chairs will still be allowed, but must be set up with a 6 feet separation between families
    • Parents are encouraged to use the entire park for seating, including outfield areas past the fences.
  • Masks or other face covering is encouraged while in the ballpark
  • If you or anyone in your family feel sick or have symptoms of being sick, please stay home and follow CDC guidelines
  • Please keep all young children with you and do not allow them to wander off by themselves.
  • Wash your hands and bring hand sanitizer, wipes, etc.,  for your family while you are at the fields
    • Bathrooms will have soap and water available.   If the restrooms need serviced, please call       918-381-2964
  • When around the park, please maintain social distancing (6 feet)
  • When visiting the concession stands, please maintain social distancing while in line
    • It is recommended to use a credit card instead of cash, but both will be accepted.

 

CHAMPIONS STAFF:

  • Staff and umpires will have their temperature taken upon arriving.  Anyone having a temperature will be sent home.
  • Staff will be available to spray disinfectant on benches and dugouts in between games
  • Staff will be provided masks and gloves so they and everyone else can stay comfortable
  • Sanitizer will be provided in dugouts and common areas around the park
  • Umpires will be provided the opportunity to wear masks.
  • Staff will monitor social distancing in all areas during games (per CDC guidelines)
  • Staff will help be monitoring to ensure children stay with parents.  
    • If parents cannot keep their children contained, they will be asked to leave the park or wait in their vehicle until the game is completed.
