AT THE 2020 USA FOOTBALL NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY LEAGUE DIRECTOR BILL SPENCER WAS ASKED TO PARTICIPATE IN A FOOTBALL DEVELOP MODEL PANEL. THE PANEL, MADE UP OF 3 PARENTS AND 1 LEAGUE DIRECTOR, PRESENTED FOUR TIMES DURING THE CONFERENCE ON THE TOPIC: "EXPLAINING THE FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT MODEL TO PARENTS."

IN THE FALL OF 2019 THE WGYFL, NOW WPYFL, WAS CHOSEN BY USA FOOTBALL TO HELP PILOT THEIR FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT MODEL. THE WGYFL WAS ONLY OF ONLY 6 YOUTH LEAGUES IN THE UNITED STATES TO RECEIVE THIS HONOR.

On June 8, 2019 the WGYFL became the first youth football league in Western Pennsylvania to host an in-person USA Football Coach Certification Clinic.

League Director Bill Spencer was asked by USA Football to conduct a presentation at the 2019 USA Football Nation Conference in Orlando, Florida. The title for the presentation was: "Large League Operations - Classification and Revenue Sharing."
