Non - Board Member Volunteer Roles:

 

Team Managers - Must register with USA Hockey as a volunteer and have a valid USA Hockey #, be screened and complete Safe Sport modules (valid for one year), verify/maintain roster details with AHAI website; verify refs for home/away games; assist coaches with weekly team communications; schedule team pasta nights (Fridays before home games on Sat. or Sun.); manage all tournament bookings including hotels; and serve as point person for tournaments; email score sheets to SHL contacts (tbd) and Pete Boland; post scores to website; and maintain information on team page of website.

 

Apparel/Merchandise - Manage ordering process and sort for distribution to teams. Order items for Stars auction basket.

 

Volunteer Coordinator - Assist Board/teams with filling roles for special events listed on Season Information page.

 

Volunteer Opportunities come up throughout the season. There will be a variety of events for which we will ask our hockey families to volunteer including special events, photographers, Friday night pasta dinners, North vs. South game fundraiser (including t-shirt sales), Senior Night, etc.

 

Photographers - take pictures for special events and forward to webmaster to post.  Events include home and away games, tournaments, Homecoming Parade, North vs. South game, Family Skate, Senior Night, Stars Night, etc.  Time commitment will vary.

 

Team Pasta Nights - Family to host dinner on Friday nights before home games on Saturday or Sunday.  Provide meal for team (ex. salad, pizza, pasta, chicken). Host family sets the time that is convenient for them. Time commitment varies, usually 1 1/2 hours to 2 1/2 hours.
