Volunteer Q&A
Q: Why should I become a volunteer for Belle Fourche Soccer?
A: Belle Fourche Soccer is a completely volunteer-run organization. Therefore, everyone who helps out keeps soccer running for our youth.
Q: What do volunteers even do?
A: Board members take care of administrative tasks like registering players, setting up fields, ordering jerseys/shirts, and much more. Head Coaches plan the practice sessions and provide learning opportunities for players at different developmental levels, as well as manage the team and game settings. Assistant Coaches work with the Head Coaches to provide additional help at practices and during games. Team Managers provide help with coordinating families and the day-to-day organization for the coaches. Other volunteers help with field preparation, scorekeeping at tournaments, concession stand help, and setup or cleanup activities.
Q: How do I become a volunteer?
A: Contact a member of the Board of Directors and let them know your interests. Be prepared to complete the necessary risk management and background checks annually.
All volunteers must complete a background check, risk management assessment, and Safesport training online before working with children. See the links page for more information.
