What They're Saying About ECBA

What are people saying about East Coast Baseball Academy?

"East Coast Baseball Academy has been a pleasant surprise and great experience for Tad and our family. We decided to give East Coast Baseball and Coach Carlson a trial season during the fall of 2011, with not many expectations. Coming from an established and well known program with great leadership and coaching, Tad or I didn’t expect East Coast Baseball to compare or compete with these types of programs. We were completely wrong. Coach Carlson did a great job of putting a very competitive team together, playing in the better tournaments, and even getting reasonable game times for a “starter” program. Coach Carlson also took a more personal interest than any of Tad’s previous coaches to market him to programs at the next level. His knowledge of the recruiting process, his network of next level contacts, and his personal approach has us committed to East Coast Baseball through the rest of Tad’s high school years. We have never felt more comfortable or committed to a program."

"East Coast Baseball Academy has  helped my son's development as a player through programs offered at the facility and by being a member of the 18u team. Coach Randy Carlson is fair and cares about helping the players make it to the next level. My son has been involved with several organizations in this area and this is by far the best. I would highly recommend ECBA to any player who wants to develope into a better player- they have everything you need at the facility and great coaches to assist you with your goals.

"I was fortunate enough to have Coach Carlson as my hitting instructor for several years throughout my college career. He helped refine my hitting mechanics and my approach at the plate which helped me to succeed at both the college and the professional level. Coach Carlson is very knowledgeable of the game of baseball and I recommend him to any up and coming baseball player that is serious about taking his talents to the next level."

"After having worked with Coach Carlson over the course of my four years at The Citadel, I was given the framework to become a techically sound baseball player.  Coach Carlson's dedication to his players, work ethic, and overall baseball knowledge helped advance my career to the professional ranks.  Randy is a true testament to a player's coach, and I remain in close touch with him as I further my baseball career with the U.S Military All Star team."

"My son is a senior in high school and had the good fortune to play on the ECBA 18u travel team this past fall. This was our first introduction to ECBA. As a father of a baseball player the difference I saw with ECBA and other travel baseball teams was the quality instruction and individual attention my son received at ECBA. Prior to playing with ECBA my son was on the fence about playing baseball in college. Coach Randy encouraged and promoted my son and now he is excited about the opportunities he has to play at the next level. I witnessed my son make great strides to becoming a good pitcher under Coach Randy Carlson and Coach Matt Talley. Coach Randy made sure that the parents were constantly updated on schedule changes throughout the season. I can without hesitation recommend Coach Randy and ECBA as a premier program and facility."

"We joined East Coast this past fall and have had a great experience with the organization.  The hitting facility is well kept and all the boys work well with their coaches.  We enter tournaments that are not a given to win, which is great experience and makes the boys play harder and be better players.  We will continue with ECBA for as long as our son continues to improve and enjoys the environment....Thank you East Coast for having us.

"I just wanted to send a note to thank you for the wonderful baseball season that we just finished.  My kids have been playing travel baseball since they were 11 and 13, that is quite a few years in baseball time, and I can assure you that no other team we have played with ran as smoothly as ECBA.   From the very beginning the communication was frequent and thorough. The uniform ordering was painless and the scheduling very workable.

Having your facility for the team to use for practice was invaluable. What a great place! It was nice to have outdoor mounds to pitch from and comfortable batting cages.  Ryan’s hitting by the end of the season was locked in because of the work he was able to do at ECBA.  The fact that the facility was open so he could work it around his school schedule made the membership a bonus for us.

I believe coaching to be an inherent talent and I know for certain you have that gift. Through the years, I have seen good coaches and coaches that should choose another path in life. You’re a great coach. What a blessing to be able to watch a game and see professional behavior, demeanor and knowledge from the coach and his staff.  Most importantly, I knew without a doubt that my son was growing as a player and that his coach knew him, his skills and what he was capable of achieving."

"East Coast Baseball Academy has been a positive influence on my son's baseball activities. Our experience with ECBA began in early 2011 when I was in search of some individual lessons for my son whose hitting had slipped into a slump. I visited ECBA for a tour of the facility and to meet the trainers. I found the facility to be first class and the trainers were quite obviously well versed in their specific areas of work.

My son elected to try out for the travel ball team and I was very impressed with the organization and experience of the ECBA staff at the tryouts. Micheal was selected to play on the ECBA team. Over the years I had heard both positive and negative statements concerning travel ball and was unsure what I should expect. The ECBA staff worked with the team in a professional manner and their knowledge and manner made the experience a positive one for all of us. Micheal's pitching and hitting showed major improvement as he played for the travel ball team. The coaches work with each player to maximinze their potential and find their strengths.

Micheal has continued since the end of the season to have individual lessons with both hitting and pitching. Coach Randy Carlson's teaching techniques are to be commended. He offers a style of teaching that allows the student to develop correct technique with a minimum amount of stress. His positive attitude and baseball knowledge makes Micheal wait anxiously to attend each session and gives him the drive to establish and meet his goals. Micheal has benefited from the lessons with Coach Randy and daily improvement is seen in his knowledge and style of the baseball game. The strength and agility training offered by ECBA has given him a firmer commitment to the game.

I would highly recommend ECBA to anyone who has a child interested in baseball. I feel ECBA has met all of Micheal and my expectations."
