Good morning! My name is Jennifer Manzella and we are in the process of planning a large 250 celebration in Chester NJ on Sunday June 14th...the entire event will be held 12 to 7pm and we are looking or reenactors and groups to come! I was wondering if your group would be available? And what activities you would be able to provide? Thank you so much for your help! Jennifer Manzella Chester Borough 973-800-2680

It has come to my attention that William Henry Davenport is my great-great grandfather. I never knew anything about my grandfather's family. I would love to get more information

Relative was a 1st SGT for Co. A
Hello! So I was just doing research on my family tree and located a Sidney S. Byram. Turns out he is my 1st Cousin 5x removed and was a 1st Sgt in Company A, 27th New Jersey Infantry Regiment. I do not have too much more on him at this point beside seeing he mustered in Sept. 19, 1862 for 9 months and was eventually discharged at U.S Army General Hosp in Washington D.C on February 15, 1863. I am also a Pvt in Company E, 148th New York Infantry-New York State's oldest Civil War reenactment regiment. I am past unit commander and still regimental Adjutant for the group's SVR contingent. Love your page! Maybe we will bump into each other at some event someday? Cheers!

Searched for Great Great Grandfather
What a thrill to see the name of my great great grandfather Benjamin Franklin Young in your archives. He was a native of Sussex County, married in 1860, joined the 27th, Co. F and survived the war, and to his blessing had 5 children. In 1872 he moved his family to Crooked Creek 2 miles west of Aliceville near present day Leroy KS and started a homestead where he remained there until his death in 1910. He would often travel back to NJ for the annual encampment of the G. A. R. My father, (James H. Young Sr. of Coffey Co. KS) was his great grandson.

Web Site
I wish to share with you the fact I am impressed by your website. Many units fail maintain theirs. Your website on the other hand is both informative and entertaining. I am 71 years old. Hence, I think I am too old to participate. If I was younger; I would enlist. Regards, Roc
