On Saturday, June 29, your Illinois Cowboys semi-pro football team along with their friends and families plus thousands of other men, women and children will gather on Chicago’s lakefront to raise funds and awareness for the fight to end hunger in Cook County. As u have seen in the passed the Illinois Cowboys semi-pro football team are a huge contributor against the fight against hunger , from the numerous hours volunteer work they have put in, both passed & present at Tabernacle Baptist Church. 4130 S Indiana Avenue. Chicago, IL 60653-2197. The Hunger Walk is a fun opportunity for all types of businesses, organizations and individuals to help ensure their neighbors get the food they need.

The 5k, 3.1 mile Hunger Walk benefits pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in Cook County that are members of the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s network.

Our Philosophy

The Illinois Cowboys is an organization where football players ages 18 and older can play in an attempt to further their playing careers by advancing to a professional football organization, for the love of the game, and for the pure enjoyment of the sport. The (ILC) will provide clean and exciting entertainment to the community, and will also give aspiring players an opportunity to achieve their athletic dreams.

The (ILC) will be very active in Chicago, as well as other surrounding communities by visiting Children’s hospitals, mentoring youth athletes, and by hosting entertaining events for people of all ages, genders, and creeds to enjoy. We will provide the local community with a fabulous experience at all Cowboys home games. Cowboy’s games will be a great opportunity for the community to gather and see professional caliber football for an affordable price. Fans will be able to see the next up and coming athletes, as well as former High School and college stars. Games will provide more than just amazing football competition but also other entertainment such as performances, concessions, contests, and prize giveaways. This will be a great opportunity for the community to embrace something positive. It will be a unifying experience for people to come and cheer for a common cause, and most importantly to have fun!

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Cowboys will maintain a professionally run organization from top to bottom. We will bring in other competitive teams to help improve this tremendously fast growing league. With a shortage of professional Football leagues and options for elite athletes, the Cowboys will make its players feel they are in professional organization. As well as have an opportunity to advance to higher levels of football such as Arena, CFL, or NFL.

How we raise money???

The Illinois Cowboys plans to earn generous donations from the community. We plan to be supported by major and minor corporations, small business, as well as current and former professional athletes. The Cowboys will also hold fundraisers in numerous neighborhoods to get the communities involved with program.

The Illinois Cowboys website will be maintained weekly, Weekly updates will include scores, statistics, stories, biographies, videos, and team transactions.

Team Travel

Local traveling will be done by player and coach carpools. Most trips consist of 60 miles or greater will be chartered.

The Illinois Cowboys will be teamed up with Excellent Way Out Reach Center for a toy and coat drive ! We will be collecting lightly worn coats, new coats, and new TOYS for 8-14 ages. Please have a heart and help out the less fortunate this Christmas season. We have made arrangements for gifts that need to be picked up as well
