MVP - Raza
As a veteran in this league, Raza has shown everyone why he is the best player in this league. Raza led the Lakers to multiple wins this season while averaging 28.4 points, 3.8 assists and 10.7 rebounds. Raza had a great season and we hope to see many more in the upcoming season!

Sportsmanship - Marvin
The Sportsmanship award goes to Marvin! As a newcomer to this league, Marvin has helped the Jayhawks secure the first seed. Marvin has shown how much of a great teammate he is by remaining positive and encouraging his teammates at all times. He always brings the energy on and off the court and never belittles the other teams. He plays with a level of respect and we love to see that in our league.

Defensive Player - Asim
The defensive player award goes to Asim! Asim helped the Heat land a spot in 3rd seed while averaging 15.8 points and 12.1 rebounds. He was the anchor of the Heat's defence and installed fear into his opponents when they entered his territory. He also led the league with the most blocks being 2.9 per game. An outstanding season from Asim and hoping for many more in the future!

Rookie of the Year - Jeroy
The Rookie of the Year award goes to Jeroy! Jeroy was new to this league and showed out in his first season. He helped the Rockets secure the 2nd seed for the season while averaging 15.6 points per game and being a dog on the defensive end. A stellar first season for Jeroy and many more to come!

6th man of the year - Ankit
The 6th Man of the Year award goes to Ankit! Ankit helped the Gators secure the 5th seed for the season. He always brought energy on and off the floor. He was a tremendous game-changer coming off the bench this season. We hope to see that same fire throughout the playoffs!

GM Award - Zoobee
What a great season the Rockets had with their captain Zoobee putting all the pieces together. While everyone else was playing checkers Zoobee was playing chess and assembled a well-rounded team. Zoobee helped the Rockets secure the 2nd seed for the season. He showed everyone that working as a team is more important than individual accolades.

MIP - Shazaib
The Most Improved Player award goes to Shazaib! He helped the Rockets to secure the 2nd seed. Shazaib had an incredible season showing everyone he has come a long way from last season. Shazaib was second in both rebounds and blocks. He averaged 11.9 points, 2.3 blocks and 11.3 rebounds. A great season from Shazaib and many more in the tank!

GAME PREVIEWS

Bucks vs Heat

For the Finals Match-up of MCBC, we have the Bucks up against the Heat! Last week the Bucks faced the Spartans and it was a great match-up to see. The Bucks were trailing the entire game but pulled out strong at the end with some time 3s to take the dub winning 56 - 53. Shoutout to Shak for dropping 27 points 3 assists and 4 rebounds. The Heat faced the Huskies last week and it was also a great match-up to see. Both teams kept going back and forth but the heat pulled out with the dub winning 56 - 43. Shoutout to Asim for dropping 24 points 8 rebounds and 4 blocks to go along with that. We watched some amazing basketball over the past few weeks and witnessed a couple of shocking upsets. Tonight is where it all matters. All the blood, sweat and tears are all going into this last game. All the hard work and perseverance will truly count for the winner of this match-up. Good luck to both teams!

X-Factors

  • If Junior can stay aggressive and knockdown the open jumpers it will help the Bucks tremendously on the offensive end
  • If Ali Raja can stay aggressive and play the defense we all know he can play it can shift the momentum to benefit the heat
  • If Muhammed continues to find open targets it will help make his teammate's jobs a lot easier
