Welcome to the home of Bomber Nation!

A safe haven and beacon of light to all players, fans, loved ones, and intrigued citizens, past and present, whose lives have been touched by the TCMABL (that's Twin Cities Men's Adult Baseball League) Bombers, an amateur (we use the term loosely) baseball team.

The Bombers begin 2026 in their 21st season in the TCMABL, with 2026 being the first season in the 28+ division following a two decade run in the 18+. Founded in 2005 as the Diamondbacks by Joe Masrud, the Bombers are one of the league's oldest continuously operating franchises. The team is currently managed by Alex Gabriel, who enters his 12th year as the Bombers skipper. Our home field is Bob Barnes field at St. Paul Concordia College.

The Bomber's Weekend Recap

Bombers Head into the Break Atop the Division

On a day where it looked like nature had other things on it's mind than baseball, some dedicated field prep by Gabriel, Shoemaker, and Sons saw the Bombers take to a saturated but playable field against the Avengers.

Scoring didn't start until the 4th, with Cody Copeland hitting his career doubling 2nd double of the year to plate Burger, whom took the first of his 3 free passes with 2 outs in the inning. On the flip side of the book, Grodzicki kept traffic to a near minimum, notching 3 K's in his first 3 frames.

Second 3 frames weren't bad either. With home plate being a mirage for the Avengers, and in the meantime, the Bombers put up a quadtet of run in the 5th and 6th, taking advantage of Avenger walks and errors to head into the 7th up 5-0.

The Avengers finally made a dent in their half of the 7th, with a couple of hits and a couple of walks, but ended the rally before it became a boat race, thanks to a GAMotW deserving play by Kai Goellner to start a 4-6-3 double play and end the inning, stranding a potential 3rd run.

Then, in our half, the damage began to pile up. The first 3 batters of the inning would walk, and the first 3 batters of the inning would score, thanks to a pinch-hit 2 RBI single by Max Selime, followed by 2 more walks giving Kai the free RBI. The left-right knockout punch came off of a 2 RBI single by McGibbon, and the walk off single by Yeakel, capping the inning's scoring at 7, and ending the game with a 12-2 win for the Bombers.

At 5-1, the Bombers sit in a tie for the division lead against the previously defeated Muskies, setting up a playoff defining game on July 26th, if the Bombers can keep the momentum against upoming opponents the Hounds and Irish.

We're off for the 4th, and hope everyone has a safe and happy 250th birthday party for America!

Weekly Hamm's Hero Handouts

The Hamm's Hero Handouts are weekly awards given to players in 5 categories to recognize them for either fantastic play in a given category, or sometimes a high effort low result play that may not result in a favorable result, but results in a laugh.

Week 6 v Avengers

Hamm's Hacker

Zach Gengler - Someone take this man's crown. 3 hits again Sunday, maintaining a league 2nd best batting average at .556.

Hamm Handed Defensive Player of the Week

Will Grodzicki - The game was gridlocked through 6, so every play mattered. Will's casual plucking of a sizzling line drive right past his gourd, starting a 1-3 double play, and then a classic 1-3 putout the next batter, was the tone setter for our bottom half where we took our first lead.

Hamm's Haphazard Hustler

Jimmy Shoemaker - A stolen base, a saved baseball, and an incredible diving stop in the 6th (not to mention the bucket work before the game) made this one an easy pick this week.

Hamm's Herculean Hurler

Will Grodzicki - Hamm's Honly Hurler this week, but would have been tough to top for a reliever anyways. 7 complete innings, 5 K's, and a mere 2 earned runs gave the Bombers the time they needed to blow up the run column in the 7th.

Hamm's Grown Ass Man of the Week

Kai Goellner - He's not missing many barrels this year, and his .446 batting average proves it. 2 hits, a double, 3 runs scored, and an RBI puts Kai in the center of this week's 12 run showing, and not overshadowed by his range in no-man's land Sunday, taking 2 tough fly balls behind the infield, and starting a 4-6-3 double play in the 7th which put a premature end to the Avengers late rally.
