Chattanooga Yankees hang on to take 2

On a day that started out with Mother Nature throwing a few Change-Up Pitches of her own, the Manager's Meeting at the Plate came at a time when it looked uncertain whether 2 games would be played.  But the clouds cleared and the rain held off, and it was time to play ball. Hunter Adkins started on the mound throwing a Masterful first inning.

 

Brandon Davis, of the Heat, took the Mound, throwing a Not-So-Bad Inning of his own. The Game was tight throughout, but slugger, Vince Palmer, crushed a 2 Run Shot over the Left field fence to put the Yankees ahead, and Hunter Adkins closed out the first game with the Yankees winning 3-2.

In game 2  the Heat had the home field and "Flame Throwing" Logan Teasley was on the mound. Logan threw his his best, however, even he was No match for the Yankees, as they unleashed a slew of hits with Langston Calhoun leading the way,and Vince Palmer smashing a solo line-drive Homerun. Pitching the second game for the Yankees was Tyler Baker, and he kept the Heat off balance. Closing the Game out was John Hale as the Yankees won 10-6

 

The Yankees went 2-0 on the day winning both Games "Go Yankees"  Manager Joe Glover said, “it was a team effort, with everyone chipping in.”  The Yankees look to keep up their winning ways this.  “It will be interesting to see how good this team can be.  I believe we have all the tools to go all the way.” Glover Said.
