The BEECHER MUSKIES won the 2025 Major Division National Championship with a 10-6 come-from-behind victory over the Berea Blue Sox. Berea, coached by Brendan Krowka, came into the game with three championships under their belt, the most recent in 2023. The Beecher Muskeis, coached by Fred LeSage, won their second national title. AJ Le of Beecher received the batting championship award with a .545 average and 12 runs batted in. Veterans Marty Coyle and Bryce Shafer of Beecher shared the MVP award. Coyle caught all six games and went 11 for 24, and Shafer went 3-0 on the mound with 18 strikeouts in 11 innings of work.
The Chicago Suburban Baseball League will host the 2025 NABF Charlie Blackburn Major Division World Series. The twelve-team event will take place July 30 to August 3 at the home fields of North Central College and Wheaton College. The Beecher Muskies and Lombard Orioles have been designated co-hosts for the tournament. Admission to each game will be FREE!
The Chicago Suburban Baseball League, organized in 1983 as the Northwest Suburban League, is considered by many to be one of the best semi-pro baseball leagues in the nation. This adult, amateur, wood-bat baseball league features the finest college, former college, future and former professional players in the area.

Two teams from each pool advance to a single elimination championship tournament.
The tie-breaker criteria for the two teams advancing out of each pool is Wins | Head to Head | Runs Allowed | Runs Scored | Coin Flip.
The six teams advancing to the championshp tournament will be seeded. The criteria for seeding is as follows: Wins | Runs Allowed | Runs Scored | Coin Flip.
This year's World Series will include twelve teams divided into three pools:
- Two co-hosts: Beecher Muskies & Lombard Orioles
- 2024 Champion: The Diesel (Buffalo, NY)
- 2023 Champion: Berea (OH) Blue Sox
- Seven Regional Winners
- Fort Wayne IN Regional Runner-Up
Each team will play three games in pool play. The top two teams in each pool will advance to a 6-team single elimination tournament.
The pre-tournament meeting of the managers will take place at the Holiday Inn in Carol Stream (150 S. Gary Ave) on Wednesday, July 30. Registration begins at 2:30. The mandatory meeting begins at 3pm.
