We're here to help!

One of our main goals as an organization is to improve the quality of basketball that is being played in our state and across the country.  Travel basketball has a well deserved bad reputation of selfish play that doesn't lend itself to team basketball.  We want to change that, and we want you to join us.

X10 Wins LakePointe Showcase Touney

If you didn’t know better, you’d think Julius Caesar was describing what X10 did in the 2017 LakePointe Classic  when he said, “THEY came, THEY saw and THEY conquered”.  In X10 fashion Curtis “CJ” Perdue (#1) and Antonio Price (#6) led the team in scoring throughout the tournament averaging double figures.  But the real excitement came from names that we don’t usually talk about on X10, starting with Terrel Steele (#10), who was a “Man of Steel”, averaging a double-double in points and rebounds.  Another standout was Anthony “AJ” Jones (#11) who came off the bench and steadied the squad from the point guard position.  His efficient distribution of the ball gave X10 a balanced attack and was why the team  impressed throughout the weekend.  Big man Caleb Barton-Williams (#7) took advantage of his opportunity, with the absence of starting low post standout Jakeem Faulkner (#4) with his productivity on offense and defense.  Always thirsty for more minutes, swingman Gregory Roberts (#8) put in solid work averaging 8 ppg throughout the weekend.  New comer Demetrius Davis (#9) also made his presence felt and is settling into the squad quite nicely.  After downing the Bostic Next Level Squad (67 - 45), the Running Rebels (61 - 29), Team Impact (82 - 55) and the Elite Playmaker 16U SP (49 - 44) (Championship game) there was no doubt, WE CONQUERED!

X8-Metro 2021 Crowned HoopSeen SuperRegional Champs!

(Atlanta, GA  Mar 26, 2017)  Georgia Xclusive’s Metro Elite 2021 team played in their 2nd tourney of the season this past weekend and for the 2nd time in a row found themselves in the championship game on Sunday - this time taking home the crown at the HoopSeen Invitational SuperRegional tournament.

In their usual fashion, X8 dominated pool play beating three Georgia teams including Atlanta TapOut, Gods Property and West Georgia Warriors by an average margin of 31ppg.  In the first rounds of bracket play X8 downed one of Alabama’s elite teams (Montgomery Fire) 55-30 and a new upstart Georgia team (Elite Playmakers) 61-50.

Xclusive had hoped to face the Georgia Stars 2021 NYBL team, but instead faced Team Hornets (South Carolina) who upset the Stars in the semi-finals.  Different team, but same result for X8, who controlled the game from start to finish and downed Team Hornets 65-48 to take home the 1st place hardware.

X8 is now 10-1, having only lost in the LakePointe TipOff 15u championship game to the Atlanta Celtics 2021.  Next up is the Norman Parker Showcase where Xclusive will “play up” and test themselves against some of the best 9th grade competition in the Southeast!  If you are looking for some action, come check us out at Suwanee Sports Academy next weekend.

X10 Starts 2017 Tourney Season off STRONG!

(Atlanta-Jan 2017)  Itching to start the 2017 Tournament Season, X10-2019 suited up and played in the NAYBA “MLK Freedom Tournament”.  X10 cruised through the JV division pool play winning by an average 30ppg, and stayed hot throughout bracket, handing out double digit losses to all opponents.  The tournament concluded with X10 winning it all, defeating host Atlanta Attack team in the championship game.

Sophomore Jakeem Faulkner (#4) (coming off an impressive Varsity High School season;  being named “2nd Team All-Region”) was named the tournament’s MVP.   Curtis Perdue (#1) and Antonio Price (#5) had outstanding showings as well, both averaging 10+ppg.

Bitten by the tourney bug, X10 got right back at it, this time at the Varsity level, enterning the “Preseason Jamboree Tournament” in Augusta GA sponsored by Teammate Basketball.  X10 came just short of causing an international incident by beating the “Top Notch Stars Canadian Varsity Team” by 25 points.  In the second game, X10 lost a nail bitter to Augusta’s “Southern Iconz Varsity Team”.  In bracket play, X10 beat “Team Legacy” and “GA Havoc” to advance to the Championship game – and another shot at the Southern Iconz.   Unfortunately X10 came up short, losing by 7 points.

These two tournaments give us high hopes and expectations for the rest of the 2017 Tournament Season.

X9 2019 wins Playmakers Final Showdown Tourney

In their final tournament of the 2016 season, the X9-2019 squad decided to “play up” a grade to 16u.  Not only did they compete, but they dominated!  X9 began by defeating the Georgia Stunners 50-26.  Then they dismantled Team Attack 63-11.  They faced the Stunners again in bracket play, but the result was no different (75-45).  X9 then faced a formidable Atlanta Havoc squad in the championship (also undefeated in pool/bracket play).  But with the added punching power of the two newest X-Men, Julius Porter and Terrel Steele, X9 was the one causing havoc winning the championship 66-56.

X9 has now become X10 … and they want everyone in this year’s fall basketball league to know that you betta watch out, cause if not … “X is gonna give it ya”

While the boys “went to work” on the court, they also found time to have some fun off the court! (see pictures below).  This was the final tournament for Xclusive, ending a season in which the team played in 8 championship games, winning four!

X7 2021-Metro Elite wins "Rumble in Atlanta" Tourney

(Atlanta, 6/26/16) For the second straight year X7-2021 took home the "Rumble in Atlanta" tournament crown.  This year's tourney featured only six teams, but all were strong.  X7's pool was stacked with YBOA state champion 365 DEA Ballerz and Nola Super60 Gold bracket finalist New Orleans Stallions.  X7 won it's pool with close, but solid victories over both the Ballerz and the Stallions.

Bracket play featured a rematch against both teams (since X7's pool dominated the bracket rounds, dispatching of the the Georgia Stars and Skillset Vipers in the process).   In bracket play X7 was clicking on all cylinders, dismantleing the 365 Ballerz and NO Stallions again, this time by 20+ ppg, respectively.  It was another day at the office and a great primer for this year's AAU National championship tournament, which begins next week in Greensboro, NC.  To keep up with the action, follow us on twitter @GAXclusiveBball

X9 (BLACK) Wins Grand Ole Southern Shootout Tourney

(Atlanta, GA  4/25/16)  In Xclusive fashion, they came, they saw and they conquered!!!!   Xclusive’s X9 Black squad beat all comers this weekend, winning the  “Grand Ole Southern Shootout Tournament” sponsored by Tournaments-R-Us.  X9 beat South Cobb Kings, Georgia Kings, GSS Eagles, and the Georgia Titans to bring home the crown.

Curtis Perdue was deadly from 3 point range and around the rim and was eventually named tournament MVP.  Zachary Atkins (3) emerged as a 3 point threat, Antonio “the Floor General” Price added athleticism and scoring, Jakeem “the Anchor” Faulkner (4) showed an uncanny knack for being the team’s stabilizer, and  Jonathon Brown (24), Kaleb Brooks (20) and Pierce Rogers (10) all brought much need toughness to the game.  Jamar Bell (31), Joseph Griffith (42) and Jalan Davis (11) completed the X9 puzzle, providing solid minutes and are all heading towards becoming stars in their own right.

This 2019 class, incredibly proud to be a part of the Xclusive family. has dedicated this season to their fallen teammate Isaac “X-Man” Baker (2), who suffered a season ending injury in our first tournament.

X7 Metro Elite wins in Lebron James Southern Exposure Tournnament

(Nashville, TN   4/19/15)  X7 Metro Elite recovered from a early hick-up to win the Silver Bracket championship of the Lebron Southern Exposure tournament in Nashville this weekend.

The X7 boys uncharacteristically blew a double digit lead with only a few minutes remaining in the game and were edged by the Memphis War Eagles in pool play.  Pissed off by their miscue, the X7 boys took out their frustrations on every opponent that followed and cruised to take home the "silver bracket" championship!

X7 disposed of Arkansas Heat (AK), Premier XXI (GA), Team ARG (TN), M33M Silver and Elite teams (TN), - winning by an average of 25ppg.  This was the 5th consecutive tournament in which X7 advanced to the championship game, a testament to their grit and consistency!

Next up is a stop at the Hoopseen.com Georgia Cup III tourney in Suwanee.  Come check us out!

X7-Metro Elite wins AAU 13u State title ... then loses on a "tech"nicallity

(Atlanta, April 10, 2016)  For the 6th consecutive year the Georgia Xclusive X7 Metro-Elite squad reached the AAU Georgia district championship game … and for the 3rd year in a row they faced their cross-town rivals – the Atlanta Celtics.  In what was an incredible match-up of the most skilled players in the state of Georgia, the X7 boys narrowly edged the Celtics 39-38 … but then forfeited the win because of a technical foul at the end of regulation.

Both Xclusive and the Celtics dominated pool play.  X7 beat Southern Stampede, Georgia Stars and Gods Property by double digits in each game and then handled Choice Management Knights in the quarter-finals.  X7 faced a pesky Atlanta Top Flight team in the semis - (a team they'd aleady beaten twice this season).  As they had in the prior games, Xclusive dominated Top flight from start to finish, again, leaving no doubt of the gap between the two teams.

In the championship Xclusive (ranked #8 at 2015 AAU Nationals) faced the rival Celtics (ranked #2 at 2015 AAU Nationals).  X7 jumped out to a quick lead, controlling the tempo of the game and frustrating the Celtic players.  But the Celtics showed why they are one of the top ranked teams in the country, fighting back in the 2nd quarter and narrowing the lead to a single point by halftime.  The 3rd and 4th quarters were a dogfight, with the lead changing several times.  The Celtics led with under a minute remaining when X7’s Madison Durr got loose on a fast break, hit a lay-up, and gave X7 a 1 point lead 39-38.  With only 5 seconds left in the game and the lead, X7 inbounded the ball and headed for a break-away lay-up to seal the victory!

The X7 coaches, players and fans stormed the court in celebration!  Then, with time expired (and to everyone’s amazement), the lead official called a technical foul on the Xclusive bench for coming onto the court before the final horn.  The tech gave the Celtics two free throws, which flipped the score (40-39) and took away X7s victory.  Heart-breaking and unfortunate, but a valuable life lesson for the X7 boys about perseverance in the face of adversity.  The Celtics “tech”nically won the game, so props to them.  But even bigger props X7 for playing an incredible game!  Respect to both teams for showing how we do it in the ATL!  There will be many more battles to come between these two fierce rivals.

Next up for the X7 Metro-Elite squad is the Lebron King James Southern Exposure tourney in Nashville, TN, April 15-17.

X7-2021 (East) wins D1 Spects March Madness Super Regional

The newly formed Georgia Xclusive X7 East squad kicked off their season by winning the D1 Spects March Madness Super Regional tournament championship. X7-2021 (East) defeated A1 Elite in a tough fought title game to bring home the hardware.  Tournament MVP's for the Xclusive were Taufiq Smith #2, Jason Harris #32, and Timothy Lawrence #40.  "Big Up" to the X7-East crew!  That's what Xclusive basketball is all about!!

X7-2021 (Metro Elite) advances to YBOA Super Regional Championship

The retooled X7 Metro Elite squad traveled to Dalton, GA last week to compete with teams in the tri-state area to in the YBOA Super Regional and as expected, the boys “represented” the GA by advancing to the championship game.

In pool play the boys trounced the Warner Robbins All-Stars (GA) and Atlanta Top Flight (formerly Georgia Rising Stars) teams by 21 and 28 points respectively, earning the top seed in bracket play.  In the bracket round X7 squad annihilated the Cherokee Spurs (GA) and back-slapped a feisty, but under-manned 615 Elite squad (TN) by 50 and 22 points respectively, earning a spot in the Championship game.

The game featured a rematch against a humiliated and hungry Atlanta Top Flight (ATF) team.  ATF played a perfect game fueled by emotion and a raucous set of fans and ultimately got their revenge, edging the X7 boys 63-60.   It’s all good though … apparently X7 Metro Elite has found a new rival in the ATL.  We look forward to many future contests with the ATF squad.  They may have won this battle, but X7 will win the war ;-)

X9 Wins ATL Metro Ballers '16 Winter League Championship

X9 entered the Winter League season with modest expectations, as many players were new to the family.  But there’s something about wearing the “X” that turns young men into champions, because by season's end X9 was once again wearing the crown.

In the first playoff game veteran Antonio Price displayed his blazing speed and scoring prowess, and a several other X9 newcomers (Greg Roberts, Nigel Newton, Caleb Barton-Williams, Pierce Rogers, Isaac Baker, and Justice Dlamini) chipped in, to help Xclusive to down the  Southeast Legendzs by 20+.

In the second game X9 faced off against the host (Metro Ballers 9).  Veteran players Derrick Perry, Zachary Atkins, Antonio Price, Curtis “CJ” Perdue and Jakeem Faulkner went to work immediately, dominating the game.  Zachary knocked down 3’s, Derrick dished the ball, CJ and Antonio took it to the basket, Jakeem controlled the paint, and newcomer Isaac Baker did work in low post.  X9 was just too much for the Ballers and won by 30+.

In the Championship, X9 started out sluggish and found themselves in an unusual hole, trailing by 20 points.  But X9’s Curtis “CJ” Purdue came to the rescue, put the team on his shoulder, and single handedly took over the game.  Amazingly, the X9 boys went on to win by 20 and were crowned the league CHAMPS.

This win casts a bright light on the upcoming X9 Season.  Congrats X9!!  The sky is the limit!

X6 Finishes Season Ranked #8 in USA

Xclusive’s elite X6-2021 squad traveled to Hampton, VA last week to cap off their tremendous season by competing for the AAU National Championship title.  The boys from the ATL didn’t bring home the crown, but they did finish the season ranked as one of the top 10 teams in the USA!

X6 topped Team Duke (TX), Team Loaded (VA), Atlanta Playmakers (GA) and New York Renaissance (NY) in pool bracket play leading up to the “elite 8” bracket round.  X6 gave Lebron James All-Stars (OH) and eventual national champion Carolina Elite (NC) a run for their money in the final games of bracket play, but fell short and wound up finishing ranked #8 in the nation.

This season X6 reached the championship game in 12 tournaments, winning 8 of them.  The X6 squad finished the season ranked #2 in the USA @ YBOA 2021 Nationals, #8 in the USA at AAU 12u Nationals and #13 in the USA in the coast2coastpreps.com class of 2021 power ranking.    Quite a season indeed!

The travel season is over, but Xclusive is always in the gym.  If you think you have what it takes to be a part of the Xclusive family, join us for our summer workouts or Fall league.

X6-2021 Advances to 2015 YBOA National Championship Finals!!

(Orlando, FL  July 11, 2015)  Xclusive's elite X6-2021 team took Orlando by storm (pun intended) this past weekend, beating teams from around the continental US to advance to the YBOA National Championship final game.

X6 dominated pool play downing the Auburn Raptors (AL), Team Heat Elite (NC) and Future Stars (FL), winning by an average of 31ppg.  In bracket play X6 defeated two instate rivals Georgia Excel and Premier XXI, before thrashing a scrappy S. Florida Elite (Miami, FL) team in the semi-final.

Unfortunately, X6 faced a tough squad from Puerto Rico in the final and fell in a fiercely competitive championship game  by the score of 39-31.  Nonetheless, X6-2021 once again proved that they are one of the top 12u travel basketball teams in the U.S.A.!!  Next stop for X6-2021 is one last chance at a national championship title as they travel to the AAU Nationals in Hampton, VA.  #ItAintOverYet

X9-2019 wins the NEC Basketball Fall League Championship

Xclusive’s X9 squad is creating a buzz on the Atlanta basketball circuit.  Coming off back to back championships in the Spring and Summer Metro Atlanta Basketball league, they continued their winning ways by taking the 9th grade division of the NEC Basketball Fall League.

In the playoffs X9 beat a highly rated No Limit team by an impressive 30 points and capped off the tourney by dismantling the formidable Ga Chaos squad in the championship game (56-44).

Derrick Astin (#2) led all scorers (averaging 20.0 ppg in the playoffs) and contributed tenacious defense on the other end of the floor.  While Derrick led the team, X9 was solid from top to bottom.  Jakeem Faulkner, a ferocious rim protector, held down the middle;  Deshon Astin displayes a craftiness with the ball that always lends to an exciting game; Curtis “CJ Perdue can score at will;   Jabril Al-Amin is a technician on the lower blocks;  and Zachary Atkins and Jonathon Brown add deadly shooting from the outside and always play lockdown defense.

Congrats to the X9 crew!!

X6 wins "back2back" Georgia Cup State Championships!

(Suwanee, GA  May 30, 2015)   X6-2021 took title to being the top team in Georgia this week after winning the third leg of the Georgia travel basketball trifecta – the Georgia Cup Championship at Suwanee, GA.

X6 had already won the YBOA State championship and played in the championship game of the AAU District championship earlier in the season, where they lost to the Atlanta Celtics.  X6 knocked off the Celtics two weeks later in the Bob Gibbons Championship tournament.

Pound for pound the X6 squad was the toughest team in the entire Georgia Cup Championship tournament, demoralizing opponents by 20+ points in every game, including the Georgia Blackhawks who they led 37-2 at halftime before eventually cruising to the championship.

X8 wins the 2015 ATL Metro Ballers Spring League Championship

The X8 squad carried the Xclusive torch this past week, winning the 8th grade division of the ATL Metro Ballers Spring league.

The X8 squad (Deshon Astin Zach Atkins, Austin Axon, Jonathan Brown, Gary Davis, Jakeem Faulkner, Derrik Perry, Curtis Purdue, Jaylen Rudd and Roland Witherspoon) beat the formidable Southeastern Legends in the first round of the playoffs and then dusted off the highly touted ATL Metro Baller team in the championship (48-41).

Curtis Perdue(#1) led X8, averaging 16.5ppg in the playoffs.   Lockdown specialist Derrick Perry (#4) and newcomer Gary Davis (#2) had impressive games as well.  Perry tallied 22 points and 10 steals and Davis put up 21 points and 17 rebounds in the two playoff games.  Though these three had breakout performances, X8 is solid from top to bottom and every player is capable of a big games and pushes their teammates to excel.

Congrats to the X8 crew!!

X6-2021 Spanks ATL-Elite to Win 5th Consecutive YBOA State Championship

(Atlanta, May 17, 2015)  X6-2021 did what they've been doing since they were in the 2nd grade ... they knocked off all-comers and won the coveted YBOA State Championship title ... again!

This years tourney featured 21 of Georgia's top travel basketball teams, several of which were led by former Xclusive alumni.  Word on the street was that X6 had a bullseye on the back of their jerseys as several teams proclaimed being tired of Xclusive's dominance and "tooled up" (bringing in players from across the metro) to better compete with the "X".  But as has been the case for the past five years, it didn't matter.  X6 knocked off all of their in-state rivals, (including God's Property Thunder, TNBC, Atlanta Tapout, Georgia Excel, Procomm Warriors and Atlanta Elite) and took home the hardware.

X6 finished with double digit victories in every game, including a good ol' fashioned trashing of Atlanta Elite (47-29) in the championship game.  Camden Blount led the team in scoring with 11 points, with Madison Durr, Julian Nixon and Jaquez Smith ringing up 10, 8 and 8 respectively.  Seven different X6 players registered assists in the game, reminding you that there is no  "I" in "Xclusve"!

This was X6's 7th tourney championship victory of the season and the second leg of the Georgia travel basketball triple crowne (AAU, YBOA and Georgia Cup).  The X6 boys will take a week off before gearing up for the Georgia Cup championship to be help at the Suwanee Sports Academy in Gwinnett, Georgia.  Check out the highlights of the Atlanta Elite slap-down below ...

X6-2021 Tops Atlanta Celtics to reach Bob Gibbons Showcase Championship

(Atlanta, May 3, 2015)  X6-2021 got some pay back this week, toppling their cross town rival Atlanta Celtics and earning  themselves a spot in the Bob Gibbons Showcase Championship game.  X6 downed three teams from Florida (Plantation Power, Florida Elite and Central Florida Magic) to win their pool and earn a bye in the first round of bracket play where they were set up to face either the Atlanta Celtics or Georgia Rising Stars.

When bracket play came around, Xclusive got their wish - a rematch against the Atlanta Celtics (who had downed X6 in the AAU State Championship game just two weeks earlier).  The semi-final matchup featured several of the top 12u players in the state and promised to be a ferocious contest from the opening tip.  X6 came out the box hot, taking an early 8 point lead, but the Celtics battled back and narrowed the margin late in the first half.  After nearly a half dozen lead changes, X6 rallied to sieze control with about a couple of minutes left in the game and cruised to a vengeful 10 point victory!

In the championship game X6 faced the nationally ranked Orlando Jayhawks (#4 according to www.Coast2Coastpreps.com)  who had bested Xcluisve in last year's 2014 AAU National Championship tournament.  Again, X6 was seeking revenge.  The game was close throughout the first half, with the Jayhawks taking a 24-22 lead into halftime.  A spurt mid-way through the 2nd half put the Jayhawks up 10 and unfortunately X6 couldn't muster up a rally to retake the lead and fell 54-44.   Despite the loss, X6 once again proved that they are a team to be recokoned with and a serious contender for this years AAU National Championship title!

X6-2021 reaches Championship game of AAU District Tournament

(Atlanta, April 19, 2015)  X6-2021 faced their in town rivals this past weekend in the AAU Georgia District Championship tournament.  After downing ATL Elite, Hoop City Thunder, T.R.U. Elite, Atlanta Select and the Georgia Rising Stars, X6 fell to the Atlanta Celtics in the championship game, finishing as first runner-up.  Great job boys!!!

X6-2021 Hits Nashville and wins "King James Southern Showcase"

In their final tune-up before the AAU District Championship tournament X6-2021 headed down to Nashville, TN to clash with teams from “down south” in the King James Southern Showcase event.  The teams were different, but the result was the same … and X6-2021 once again brought home the hardware!

As has become typical, X6 cruised through pool play and got a first round bye in bracket play.  They  faced a backwoods team full of thuggish ‘Bamas named the Alabama Dream Team in the semi-finals.  X6 gave the Dream Team nightmares on the court, beating them inside and out and frustrating the Alabama team so badly that they wanted to brawl after the game!   Fortunately, X6 showed enough class for both teams, won with grace and moved on …

X6 faced Team RSD out of Tennessee in the championship game.  RSD started out hot and took a double digit lead into the second quarter.  Their fans thought that they had the game in the bag, but they clearly hadn’t faced the “X” before!  By the 3rd quarter X6 had gotten their bearings and opened a can of whup-(you know the rest) on Team RDS, leading by as many as 15 points in the 4th quarter.  To their credit, team RDS didn’t quit, but in the end they learned (like so many others) that “X Gonna Give It to Ya”.  Another championship on the season for Xclusive’s X6-2021 Elite team!

See the video below for some of the action!

X6-2021 Wins YBOA Gwinnett Spring Fling

(Gwinnett, March 29, 2015)  X6-2021 got in some more work this weekend, this time taking on (and beating) all comers to win the YBOA Gwinnett County Spring Fling tournament in Norcross, GA.

X6 downed averaged 65 ppg over 5 games and won by an average margin on 35+ppg in defeating Georiga Swish, Dacula Shock, Top Notch Basketball Club, and Team ASA.  In the championship game X6 faced a rambunctious group of new comers called XXI Premier.  XXI Premier had won a YBOA tournament championship the prior week and thought that they matched up well against X6. They were mistaken!  The newcomers hung around for about 4 minutes into the 1Q before X6 turned up the heat and toasted the young bucks.  Final score 62-43 and another piece of championship hardware for Xclusive X6-2021.

Next up, the Norman Parker Showcase event at the Suwanee Sports Academy April 4-5.  Get at us!  #allwedoiswin

X6-2021 Knocks off Top Teams to win Georgia United Kick Off Classic

(Atlanta, March 22, 2015)  X6-2021 continued tuning up for the 2015 AAU and YBOA National Championships by knocking off all-comers and winning the Georgia United Kick Off Classic championship this past weekend.  The tournament featured several of Atlanta's top team (e.g. Atlanta Playmakers, World Wide Wildcats) as well as several strong national programs (e.g. Memphis Wildcats, Central Florida Magic and E1T1 (TN).

X6 dusted off their in-state rivals - the Atlanta Playmakers - by 15 points intheir first game and then in two closely contested contests, knocked off the Memphis Wildcats and Central Florida Magic.  X6 finished 3-0 in pool play and took the top seed into bracket play.  In their first two bracket play games, X6 pounded the Douglasville Dreamz and D-Favors Celtics so badly, both games ended early because of the tournament "mercy rule".

The championship game featured a rematch against the Memphis Wildcats (led by Jonathan Lawson, the #11 ranked player in the nation according to coast2coastpreps.com).  X6, who had started out slowly in previous games, came out firing and took an early lead.  Lawson worked hard to will his team along, hitting one long range bomb after another, but X6's twin towers (Julian "Ferby" Nixon and Camden "the Human Helicpoter" Blount) dominated insdie and tournament MVP Sutton "The Big Fundemental" Smith put "lock down" defense on Lawson after the half, making him a non-factor.  X6 eventually took control of the game and downed the Wildcats 62-57, winning their third championship of the young travel basketball season.

Next up for X6 is a the Norman Parker Showcase event at the Suwanee Sports Academy in Atlanta and the King James Best of the South tournament in Nashville, TN in April.  #LET'SGO!!

X6 heads to Birmingham for "Fun & Games"

(Birmingham, March 14, 2015)   X6 was on the road again, this time traveling to the University of Alabama-Birmingham to compete in the Magic City Classic Showcase tournament hosted by the Gulf Coast Blue Chips.

Xclusive faced two teams from hometown Georgia (Procomm Warriors and Georgia United) in the early rounds and easily dispatched of both.  They then faced a scrappy Indiana Elite team in pool play.  The Indiana squad had lightening quick guards and dead-eye shooters, but X6 came out "on fire" and the Indiana team simply couldn't match up,  eventually falling 62-25.

X6-2021 faced tough Jackson Laker squad from Mississippi in semi-finals.   They'd faced the Laker squad a year ago at the New Orleans Super60 showcase tournament and beat them in a tight and intense contest.  This year's battle was just as fierce!   Neither team took command of the game and the lead changed over a dozen times.  In the end, the Laker team edged X6 by a basket, but both teams left the court with a mutual respect reserved for only the most elite teams in the country.

In between "getting in work" on the court, the boys took some time to enjoy themselves.  The X6 squad showed off their roller skating skills at the rink and even made some time for some Laser Tag!   They'll  never be accused of being "all work and no play"!  Check out our pix and video (center) below ...

X6-2021 Wins NEC Playmaker Kick-Off Classic

(Marietta, GA  3/9/2015)  Xclusive's elite X6-2021 squad headed to Northwest Atlanta this past weekend to participate in a tune-up tourney in preparation for the AAU and YBOA season.  In traditional fashion, the X6 boyz did what they do … they came, they saw, they conquered.

X6 played up into the 7th grade division to get in some solid “work”, but it really didn’t matter.  The X6 Boyz  cruised through pool play winning by an average margin on 20+ points.  X6 faced the Primetime Ballers in the championship game.  The Primetime team and their coach were incredulous to the fact that, (in their words) “some 6th graders” would take them to the woodshed.   They were, however, the only ones in the gym who were surprised.  Cause if you don’t know by now, if you ain’t ready …  X Gonna Give it to Ya!  Congrats boyz!

Who Dem Boyz called X6-2021 Elite?

After winning their first two tournaments here in Atlanta, we've been receiving quite a few inquiries from fans wanting to know more about the members of the Georgia Xclusive X6-2021.  The video below helps to answer some of those questions ...

X6 heads to New Orleans to Compete in the John Lucas Invitational

(Feb 20, 2015) This past weekend Xclusive’s elite X6 team packed their bags and headed down to the “big easy” to compete against the very best teams in the nation at John Lucas’ exclusive "invite only" all star weekend tournament.  The competition was stiff and boasted dozens of nationally ranked teams.

X6 first faced off against the #1 team on the west coast, Oakland Soldiers – California, who had stacked their team with players from across the country including two of the top five rated players in the 2021 class (Zion Harmon and Jaden Springer).  X6 also faced off against nationally ranked (#9) Team Takeover - Washington D.C.

X6 defeated one of the midwest’s top teams - Illinois Rise, Chicago, but fell to Team Takeover and the Oakland Soldiers.    X6 clearly scored the toughest bracket, playing against the two teams who would eventually wind up in the tournament championship game.

Despite not taking home hardware as they usually do, X6 got in some “good work” and continued to demonstrate that they are one of the top teams in the nation.  Just another step towards this year’s AAU and YBOA championships!

X6 players Racking Up Holiday Hardware!

(December 2014)  Xclusive has been representin’ this holiday season, as several X6 players have led their middle school teams to holiday tourney championships around the Atlanta metro.

Kyle Duncan, Julian Nixon and Logan Turner have already led the Centennial Jr. Knights to four tournament championships including the North Cobb Jr. Warrior , Carson Thanksgiving, Innerman/NAYBA Christmas and the Metro Holiday Classic.  Sutton Smith  led his W. Forsyth Jr. Wolverines to the 7th grade Innerman Christmas tourney Championship ... and K.J. Doucet  led the Alexander Jr Cougars to the Kennesaw Mt./Harrison Christmas tourney championship.

X6-2021 players are represented middle school teams across the metro.  Madison Durr and Eric Little lead the Bunche MS Chargers, Jalen Royals and Stone McKnight lead the Hillgrove Jr. Hawks, and Bashaar Hamid leads the Duluth Jr. Wildcats.

Middle School ball is the perfect tune-up for the travel season.  Given all the hardware the X6 has already racked up, we are expecting big things this coming AAU season!

Xclusive X5-2021 Finishes #20 AAU National Power Ranking

(August 2014)   X5 headed to Coca Beach, Florida on a mission to once again prove that they are an elite national program.  When they returned home it was “mission accomplished”!

X5 beat the defending national champion Team Takeover (Washington D.C.) and the Louisiana AAU state champion (Team Focus) on route to earning a top 20 spot in the AAU National Power Rankings for the 4th consecutive year.  Xclusive is the only 11u team to be ranked for four consecutive years and one of only two Georgia teams (the other being the Atlanta Celtics) to earn a spot in the 2014 AAU Power  rankings.  Check out the video below for some of the tournament action.

Kudos to the X5 boys for a fantastic season in which they won over a dozen tournaments!  Even thought the 2014 AAU season is over, basketball never stops for the Xclusive program.  Currently we are fielding players for our summer league teams in preparation for the 2015 AAU season.  If you are interested in being a part of the Xclusive organization, click here to contact a member of the Xclusive coaching staff.

X7 WINS D1 SPEC 2014 POWER 48 NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

(July 2014) X7 finished the 2014 tournament season strong by winning the D1 Spec Power 48 National Tournament in the Middle School Category.

Antonio Price led the Xclusive team with his dominant all around play.  By the tournament’s end, Antonio's jersey was in shreds from the opposing teams attempting to stop him.  For his amazing efforts, he was named the  tournament MVP.  But Antonio was not the only X player to show out ... Jakeem Faulkner was solid on the boards and ultra fast guard Jeremiah Fulk wreaked havoc offensively and defensively.  Notable mention also goes to Zach Atkins and Antonio Davis who brought solid defensive play which helped to hold all of X's opponents under 18ppg until the championship game.  In the championship, sharp shooter TJ Mitchell started the game on fire and did not cool off until the Dream Chaser’s dreams of victory had gone up in smoke. (49 – 41).

Always building for the future, X7 invited X5 players Madison Durr (#3), KJ Doucet (#5) and Khirus Doucet (#25) and X6 player Jay Hammond (#35) to get in on the fun. All of the invited players contributed positive minutes.

The team’s dominant effort and play will definitely be the talk of the towns from Georgia to St. Louis to the Bahamas, as they sent teams from those areas home with major losses.  It only proves that whenever you step in the gym and Xclusive is in the house, you are subject to the familiar saying – “X Gonna Give it to Ya”

This brings to a close our tournament season, but not without many of our players receiving individual honors. Four X7 players (Antonio Price, Jakeem Faulkner, Jeremiah Fulk, and TJ Mitchell) were invited to participate in the D1 Spec All-Star Weekend.

Because we live by the motto “We Never Quit”, the X8 basketball team will begin fall play August 2014.  Contact us if you think you are ready to wear the “X”.

X5 heads to Cocoa Beach to compete for AAU Championship

Xclusive's quest to prove they are the best travel program in the country continues this month as X5 players are geared up and ready to head to Cocoa Beach, Florida to compete for the coveted AAU Division I National Championship crown.

Xclusive is competing for the fourth consecutive year.  Every year Xclusive has advanced to the championship bracket and finished as one of the top 25 teams in the nation.  Xclusive's best finish was #7 in 2012.

The team still has three original team members and seven of the current X5 players have played for multiple season.  Take a look at the pictures below to see how the boys have grown over the years.

X5 wins the Georgia Cup Championship

(June 7th, 2014, Suwanee, GA)  X5 completed the last leg our their quest to prove that they are the top 11u travel basketball game in the state of Georgia by winning the Georgia Cup championship.  The X5 boys pounded all comers including the Georgia Hawks, Georgia Blackhawks, and North Atlanta Attack and the Choice Management Knights (in the championship game).

The Georgia Cup tournament marks the end of the “regular season” for X5 ... and what a regular season it was!  X5 won ten tournaments this season and made it to the championship game in all but one of the 11u tournaments in which they played, including the top Georgia tournaments (AAU state championship, YBOA state championship, and Georgia Cup)!  Impressively, X5 beat several nationally ranked teams along the way including the Memphis Wildcats (#7), Atlanta Playmakers (#12), and the Miami Top Risers (#16).

The final test for X5 will be the AAU National Championship tournament in Cocoa Beach, Florida from July 13-19th.   Stay tuned for updates from the beach!!

X5 Advances to NOLA Super60 Gold Bracket Championship Game

(May 28th, 2014, New Orleans, LA)  Last weekend Georgia’s top 11u travel basketball teams headed to New Orleans and met up with over forty teams from around the South, Southwest and West Coast to compete for the NOLA Super60 AAU SuperRegional championship.  Though it wasn’t easy, when the dust settled Xclusive X5 had once again found their way to the championship game, proving once again that they are one of the premier 11u travel teams in the country!

X5 cruised past teams from Florida and Louisiana and wound up as one of only two 11u Georgia teams to advance to the “Gold” bracket round (the other being the Atlanta Playmakers).  X5 got a bye in the first round of bracket play and got some payback for Georgia's Atlanta Celtics by beating the Jackson Lakers from Mississippi 39-31.  (The Lakers had knocked the Celtics out of contention for the Gold bracket championship earlier in the tournament, though the Celtics got redemption by eventually winning the "Silver" bracket championship).  In the semi-finals X5 played their southeastern rival and national powerhouse - the Miami Top Risers (FL).  The game was intense and the score was close throughout, but in the end X5 prevailed, winning 32-28.  In doing so, X5 became one of only two Georgia teams (across all grades) to advance to a NOLA Super60 Gold bracket championship game (the other being Georgia's Team ASA 9u).

X5 faced the North Texas Tarheels (an outgrowth of the Deron William’s Elite team from the 2013 season) in the championship.  Unfortunately, X5 exhausted themselves in the semi-final game and had nothing left for the finals.  They ultimately fell to the Tarheels 37-26.  Still, X5 finished ahead of 38 of the 39 other 11u teams from around the country … not bad at all!

One of the best parts of the trip was watching all of the Georgia teams, who compete so ferociously against each other throughout the spring and summer, work together as buddies with a single common goal – to "show’em how we ball in ATL Georgia".  It was truly a nice sight to see!

Next up for Xclusive is the final piece of the puzzle to claim the top spot on the Georgia travel basketball scene – the Georgia Cup Championship at the Suwanee Sports Academy.  If you aren’t busy, come on out and watch us play!

X5 Wins 4th Consecutive YBOA State Championship

X5 set a goal to end this season as the #1 travel team in Georgia and set out to prove it by winning the three top Georgia tournament championships (AAU, YBOA, and GA Cup).   This past weekend X5 completed one of the pieces to the puzzle by beating several of the top teams in the state and taking home the 2014 YBOA state championship!

As usual, X5 breezed through pool play, easily beating Choice Management Knights, Champions Chance and Ballers Inc squads.  X5 knocked of the ProComm Warriors in the quarter-finals to set up a match-up with the Atlanta Playmakers in the semi-finals.  The Playmakers had lost every game they’d played against X5 over the past two seasons and were salivating over a chance to finally get a “W” against the “X”.  They even went as far as recruiting several new players from other top teams over the past week to finally get over the hump.  The gym was packed, the crowd was raucous and the tension was high as the teams battled intensely for 28 minutes.   X5 scored the first basket of the game and never relinquished the lead.  When the final horn sounded, X5 had handed the Playmakers another ego deflating defeat – final score: 38-33!

In the finals, X5 faced a retooled ATL Elite squad it had already beaten earlier in the season.  Though the final score was a bit closer than the last time, the result was no different.  ATL Elite simply couldn’t  handle X5’s ball pressure and inside game and fell to the “X” again, this time by the score of 46-38.  Check the box for another piece of championship hardware for X5!

X5 Wins D1Spects Reebok Invitational

(College Park, GA  5/4/14)   Xclusive’s X5 continued to put in work in preparation for the AAU National Championship tournament in July.  This weekend the boys took on all comers at the D1Spect Reebok Elite Invitational Tournament in College Park GA and (as is customary) walked away with 1st place hardware – their six championship of the season!

X5 easily took care of the A1 Elite, Carolina Cavaliers and Star to Legends teams in pool play.  In the championship game X5 disposed of the Cavaliers for a second time with a decisive 40-14 spanking!

All tournament honors went to Jalen Royals, Bashaar Hamid, and Holden Staes.  Tournament MVP honors went to Julian “Big” Nixon.  The Xclusive “player of the week” award went to Jordan Wicker for his hustle, attitude and improved play.  But everyone on the roster contributed, including our wounded warrior Madison “Brown Mamba” Durr who was sidelined with a broken hand.

X5 wins YBOA Gwinnett County Shootout

(Duluth, GA  April 27) X5 put in work this weekend, downing several Atlanta area teams to capture their second YBOA championship of the season.

X5 went undefeated in pool play beating up on Champions Chance, Gods Property Thunder and the Innerman Running Rebels.  In the semi-finals X5 faced the Atlanta Playmakers.  The game was close, but the Playmakers couldn't make plays in the clutch and ultimately fell by 10 points.  This was the 6th consecutive time Xclusive beat the Playmakers - who were ranked 12th in the nation in the end of last season's AAU poll.

X5 faced Choice Mgt Knights in the championship.  The game was a a yawner, as X5 held the Knights under 10 points in the first half and cruised to an easy 42-21 win and ... more hardware for the trophy case!

X6/7 Brings Home Some Mo' Hardware!

The X6/7 combo team does it again!!!!!! This time they went to the West Georgia Spring Shoot-out Tournament with nothing but hardware on their mind.  The first game of the tournament started late Saturday night but X6/7 was wide awake, beating the skilled West Ga. Xtreme team in double OT (thanks to Jamar Bell, who hit the winning shot).  After seeing what X6/7 was bringing to the table, the Atl. Attack team chose not to show up the next morning.  After an extended layover the X6/7 team came out flat and lost to a tough Atl. Select team.    Knowing that they had not played up to their abilities in the previous game X6/7 took it out on its next opponents, the Hiram Knights.  Dohnaven Smith was a beast on the boards garnering a double-double, and Antonio Price (in normal fashion) led all scorers with 27 points.  Not to be left out of the action, Jay Hammond and Kenon Hunter let the 3’s rain after the starter took a break.  By the end of the contest X6/7 had handed the Knights a 30 point “L”.

With a 3-1 record for the tournament, X6/7 headed to the championship to avenge their only loss of the tournament and let the Atlanta Select team know that “X gonna give it to ya”. Having played two games within 4 hours, there was concern that fatigue would be an issue, but X practices are designed for these moments.  To start the championship game, Antonio Price won the opening tip and received a dazzling pass from Zachary Atkins to score the first bucket (and a foul).  Right then and there, Atlanta Select knew that is was going to be a LONG day!  The first half of the game was relatively close, with X6/7 leading by 5 at halftime.  But a heart felt talk from Coach Ron at halftime caused the boys to perk up and get set to do something special.  In true “X” fashion Coach Pete let the dogs out and gave the order to press the remainder of the game.  X6/7’s guard DevonBrown was the main beneficiary, snagging converting seven steals into easy layups (with several ending resulting in “and 1s”.  Bottom line … Atlanta Select folded like a cheap suit and X6/7 snagged another piece of championship hardware!

X5 finishes in 2nd Place at AAU State Championship

(April 14, LaGrange, GA )This weekend X5 showed why they are still one of the premier travel basketball programs in the state!  For the fourth consecutive year, Xclusive advanced to the AAU state championship game.  Unfortunately, this time the 3x defending state champions came up short, falling to the Atlanta Celtics and finishing as the first runner up in the tourney.

This year’s tourney featured 14 teams from around the state.  On their way to the championship game, X5-2021 defeated the Choice Management Kings, Team Power (Augusta), Champion’s Chance, and the Atlanta Playmakers.

X5 met up with the Atlanta Celtics in the championship gameThe teams were 1-1 vs each other on the season, with X5 winning the AAU Superregional several weeks ago and the Celtics beating X5 in pool play in this tournament.

X5 led for most of the first half of the game, but the Celtics got hot at the end of the 2nd quarter and took a 20-15 lead into halftime.  Xclusive, (playing their 7th game in 48 hours), came out flat after halftime and the Celtics took full advantage.  In the end X5 came up short and finished #2.  It’s all good though!  X5 will be back in the gym tightening things up and preparing to get back on top ASAP!

X5 wins inagural "Georgia Cup" tourney in Suwanee, GA

(Suwanee, GA  3/24/14)  Challengers keep trying to test the “X” and the “X” keeps passing with flying colors!  This past weekend X5-2021 neutralized “Team Threat” and captured the inagural Georgia Cup tourney 11u championship!

X5 used pool play as “practice”, dismissing God’s Property Thunder, TNBC (Top Notch Basketball Club), and Team Threat easily with victory margins of 36, 46 and 15 points respectively.  In bracket play X5 played Team Forrest in the semi-final.  The game was not much of a contest.  X5 quickly took a chain saw to “The Forrest” and chopped them down with ease, winning to 30+ points.

In the championship game X5 again faced Team Threat.  Threat’s coach made a buck and a quarter before the game selling woof-tickets about how his team was going to take down the “X” in the rematch.  These ridiculous comments were posted to the X5 virtual bulletin board and it was on!

Team Threat jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter and their ruckus crowd became delusional, believing they had a chance.  X5 stepped on the gas and Team Threat’s throat in 2Q, outscoring them 18-3 and taking a 10 point lead into the half.  To their credit, Team Threat continued to fight; cutting into X5’s lead and trailing by only 5 points with less than a minute left.

Then, Threat guards hit two miracle shots and pushed the game into OT.  At this point, X5 had had enough.  X5 “turnt it up and eliminated the Threat 43-39.  Game, set, match!

Every player on the X5 roster made major contributions in the tournament.  In the early games, X5’s second unit played a majority of the minutes, with guards Jameison Winters, Brashar Hamid and Saiku White running the competition raged with nifty ball handling and drives to the hoop.  Reserve forward Jordan Wicker had a career game in the semi-final, camping out on the box and dropping points at will.  In the championship game Jalen “the Beast” Royals and Julian “Big” Nixon, held things down tallying 10 and 9 points respectively.  Kyle “Swag” Duncan, Holden Staes and KJ Doucet each chipped in a bucket, but their major contributions came on on the defensive end.  Tournament honors went to Madison Durr who “showed out”, registering 18 points and earning tournament MVP.  As always it was a team effort!

X5 wins Georgia AAU SuperRegional tournament

(Cobb County, GA  3/16/14) Xclusive X5-2021 punched their ticket to the AAU National Championship tournament in Cocoa Beach, Florida later this summer with a Victory over the Atlanta Celtics in this weekend’s Georgia AAU SuperRegional hosted by PQ Sports.

Xclusive went undefeated in pool play, beating the Five Star and Team Forrest basketball clubs.  In the semi-finals X5 had a rematch with Team Forrest, who put up quite a fight, pushing X5 into double OT with a couple of rainbow 3 pointers in the final seconds of the game.  However, X5’s experience and superior skill eventually took its toll on Team Forrest and X5 advanced to the championship game against the Atlanta Celtics.

X5 dominated the Celtics for the first 3 quarters of the championship game, taking an 18 point lead into the 4th quarter.  A commanding lead and tired legs caused X5 to take their foot off the gas and give the Cetlics false hope of a comeback, but the game was really never in doubt as X5 cruised to a 40-37 win and their 3rd championship of the young season.

X5-2021 Dominates YBOA Georgia SuperRegional in Dalton, GA

(March 1, 2014) Xclusive X5-2021 took to the hardwood last weekend and played in the YBOA Georgia SuperRegional tournament in Dalton, GA.  They were on a mission to quickly establish themselves as the top 11u team in the state of Georgia and to no one’s surprise, when the smoke cleared X5 had torched the competition, scoring nearly 50 ppg and winning by an average of 27 ppg.  X5 not only brought home first place hardware, but they also won free entry into the YBOA National Championship later this summer!

Xclusive made quick work of RYBBA (Rockdale Basketball Club) and Team F.O.E. in pool play winning 49-18 and 44-8 respectively.  In bracket play Xclusive faced the Choice Management Knights in the semi-final.  The Knights led 18-15 at halftime and their fan base was in a frenzy thinking that that might defeat the “X”.  But X5 “turnt it up” after halftime and outscored the Kings 30-6.  Final score 45-24.  Rumor has it that the King’s fans are still mumbling and scratching their heads trying to figure out what happened.

In the Finals X5 faced an Atlanta Elite team that featured a couple of former Xclusive ballers.  ATL Elite was ranked #3

in the state in the Jr. Hoopseen Preseason poll and thought they might get revenge from the beating they took in last season’s YBOA State Championship game by X4-2021.  It took about 60 seconds for ATL Elite to realize that it was gonna be a long, unhappy ride home!  X5 came out red hot, raining down 3s like it was a monsoon and playing defense tighter than a pair of Nikki Manaj jeans!  When it was over, Xclusive had put a major beat down on ATL Elite, winning 57-38 and once again showing that if you ain’t with us, “X gonna give it to ya”!

Kudos to all the X5 ballers!  Madison “Brown Mamba” Durr led the team in scoring at 12 ppg, but got lots of help from his friends including big man Julian “Big” Nixon (9ppg), and swingmen KJ “K-Boogie” Doucet (6.8ppg) and Holden “Cash Money” Staes (6.5ppg).   Nixon completely dominated the board (10rpg) and got back-up from Jalen “The Beast” Royals who was big on the glass too (5.5rpg).  Kyle “Captain Swag" Duncan led the team in pickpockets and dimes (2.8spg, 2.2apg) and Nixon led the team in flyswats (1.8 bpg) along with help from Alexander “the Big Fundamental” Zwerner (0.8bpg).  Newcomer Saiku “Hustleman” White played defense like a Tasmanian devil, while Jamisen “Moneyball” Winters kicked started the tourney by leading the team in scoring (12pts) in the first pool play game.  Rookies Jordan Wicker and Bashaar Hamid made their marks with big hustle and grit intangibles!   As always, it was a team effort!

Xclusive X7 wins City of Atlanta Winter League

This winter Xclusive put together a new 6th/7th grade team and placed them in the City of Atlanta 12u winter league.  In true Xclusive fashion,  X7 dominated the playoffs, winning games by an average of 30 points and taking home the championship trophy.   This is the 3rd straight City of Atlanta league championship for the Xclusive organization.

X7 Roster:  Antonio Price (7th), and Derrick Perry(7th), Zachary Atkins (7th), Jakeem Faulkner (7th), Jay Hammond (6th), Nathan Beaulieu (5th), Kenon Hunter (5th), Jalan Lane (4th) and Jaden Lane (4th)

Be on the lookout for X6 and X7 to be bring home more hardware soon!

X5 Dominates 2014 ATTP Christmas Tournament

The X5 (pre-season) squad picked up where they left off this summer, took their talents to Marietta and dominated the All Tournament Players Park Holiday tournament, winning first place and taking home their first piece of hardware of the season!

X5 played up into the 6th grade division to "test themselves" and passed with flying colors as they cruised through pool play - spanking the competition  by an average margin of 30ppg.

When it came time for bracket play it was more of the same, with X5 spanking the East Cobb Shockers in the semi-finals and the East Cobb Playmakers in the championship game.

Leveraging a blend of 8 seasoned veterans and 4 talented new-comers, X5 is looking as good as ever!  The X5 preseason team begins play in the city of Atlanta rec league on Saturday January 4th in preparation for the upcoming AAU season.  If their play in the ATTP tournament is any indication, the future looks really bright for the Georgia Xclusive organization this season!

Xclusive X4G finishes 2013 AAU season ranked in top 20 of AAU D1 Power Rankings

Georgia Xclusive X4G may not have earned the 2013 AAU National Championship in 2013, but they certainly earned the respsect of the Amatuer Athletic Union - earning a spot in the top 20 of the official 2013 AAU Power rankings.  Only one other Georgia team - the Atlanta Playmakers, (who Xclusive handled easily in the 2013 Georgia AAU state tournament),  finished in the power ranking top 25 this season.

Xclusive X4G (who officially became X5G on September 1st), has already begun retooling and is posied to retain their AAU and YBOA state titles and make another run at theAAU  National Championship in 2014, so be on the lookout!

Xclusive X4G heads to Lexington, KY to compete for AAU National Championship

(July 16, 2013) The nationally ranked & reknowned Georgia Xclusive X4G basketball team headed to Lexington Kentucky on Monday to begin their quest for an AAU National Championship.

X4G started out red hot, going 3-0 in pool play - defeating the Ohio and North Carolina AAU state champs (Cincinnati Royals and Carolina Basketball Club) and trouncing “Team Dream” from Los Angeles California.  X4G’s stellar pool play earned them a first round bye in the championship bracket and a slot in the sweet sixteen.

X4G’s first championship bracket game was against the street-tough New York Gauchos.  Xclusive fell behind big early, but fought back to take the lead early in the 2nd quarter.  The game was nip and tuck throughout and while X4G gave it all they had, they fell short in the end, losing 41-35 and ending their bid for the National Championship.

X4G’s final game was against the Baltimore Stars (#3 ranked team in the nation).  X4G gave the Stars all they could handle, tying the game in the final seconds of regulation and just missing a last second shot that would have won it at the buzzer.  The game went into overtime where the Stars had a little more gas in the tank and nipped X4G 37-31.

The final AAU 10u rankings haven’t been released yet, but Xclusive is guaranteed to be ranked in the top 20 in the nation!  While X4G did not succeed in their quest for a national title this year, the team is undeterred, ready to retool, and set to try again in 2014!

X4G ... still the #1 10u travel basketball team in Georgia!

(May 20, 2013)  This past weekend the Xclusive X4G team won the coveted YBOA state championship and solidified itself as the #1 ranked 10u travel basketball team in the state of Georgia!  It was the third consecutive YBOA state championship for the X4G team who has also wonthe last three AAU state championship titles.  X4G has defeated twenty seven different 10u teams this season, losing to only one (see list below) … leaving no doubt that they sit alone atop Georgia’s AAU/YBOA travel basketball mountain!

In the championship X4G would play #2 seeded Atlanta Elite.  The A-Elite boys though new to the travel basketball scene, have been impressive – making it to the championship game in three YBOA tourneys and winning two of them this year.  This was the first meeting between the two squads and Atlanta Elite, (fresh off a 45-7 thrashing of the #4 seeded Atlanta Hoyas), was feeling confident about their chances.  One could even say that they were feeling downright “froggy”!

A-Elite squad “jumped” out to an early 5-0 and 10-5 lead, but it didn’t last long as Madison Durr (17 points), Jalen Jackson (11 points) and KJ Doucet (6 points) began raining down 3s like a monsoon …  Xclusive, knowing that the game was in hand, took their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter and let A-Elite think they were making a comeback, but in the final minute X4G pulled the Lilly pad out from under the A-Elite squad, dashing any hope they had of winning the YBOA state title.

The X4G regular season is over and couldn’t have been more successful.  The team has registered a 36-2 record against 10u opponents this season, with the only two losses coming to the nationally ranked YBR Elite (ranked #10).  Overall, X4G is 48-5 this season, having made it to the championship game in all 11 tournaments in which they’ve played, winning 9 of them.
