Approval of Minutes

November minutes were approved with no changes.

Financial Report

The bank balance dropped due to the purchase of new baseballs. Sarasota County requires SSSA to carry liability insurance, and new Board liability insurance is coming up in January 2026. A motion to approve the financial report was made and approved.

Coordinator Updates

Mon A Gary Goldberg — Need more players ranked “3”.

Mon B Carl Pallas — No issues.

Tues C Warren Hickernell — Need call-ups/players; players like the logos on the balls.

Weds A Mike Cox — No issues.

Thurs C Marc Galloway — Ken Eaton can’t play, so refund is being processed.

Fri B Todd Schwartz — No new issues.

Member Reports

Marc Galloway reported that Bella Vita Italian Kitchen offered a good program for the Managers Appreciation Party, scheduled for Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

Old Business

Scoreboards

Flip boards were determined not to be feasible, and the idea was set aside.

Monthly Board Meeting Location

Osteria 500 has been working well so far as the monthly Board meeting location.

New Business

Starting Game Times

Discussion of starting games at 8:45 AM. The change is working.

Batting Practice

Batting practice will be an independent, informal group for players who want to practice.

New Balls

New balls were delivered and distributed by Mark McCool.

Home Plate Boards

Home plate boards were delivered and distributed by Mark McCool.

Home Base Line

Adding a home base line instead of putting the plate out was not endorsed.

Field Clay

Discussion was held about asking the County to add more clay to the fields. It was determined the fields are currently better, probably due to rain.

Score Input

League Coordinators will now begin inputting scores for that day.

Upcoming Board Elections

Board elections will be held in January 2026.
