Mackie's is back in the win column, snapping a seven-game losing streak.
The OrangeAde's made a late game comeback, and held off a last-second winning shot attempt to beat Talbot Trail Physiotherapy (TTP) 63-61 Wednesday.
Trailing by four in the final minute, Brent Lale knocked down a three-pointer to cut the defecit to 61-60. On the ensuing posession he picked off an inbounds pass and found Doug Teetzel who went to the line after a foul. Teetzel tied the game on the first free throw, and after missing the second, Ian Thomson grabbed the rebound and found Lale who was fouled. He knocked down two to give the OrangeAde's the lead on a 6-0 run with 14 seconds to go.
TTP had a couple of shot attempts to tie and win it, but they fell short giving Mackie's (4-11) a rare victory and a broke their league high losing skid.
Tai Montfort had a great game to lead the OrangeAde's with 21 points, while Lale had 14 and Nic Roberts-Neef 13.
Ryan Pflanzer lead a short-handed TTP squad (10-7) with 31 points and Aaron Baker had 20.

The middle contest was a thriller which came down to a couple of huge shots in the final 11 seconds.
Juan Carranza hit a game-winning three-pointer with just 5.1 seconds to go to give Home Hardware (8-9) a 59-56 win over Ambrose Plumbing.
The shot came just 5.8 seconds after the Plumbers nearly send the game to OT. With just 13 seconds to go, trailing by three Andrew Lynch banged a corner triple to tie it, but Carranza's big shot was the difference.
Carranza had 26 points and Kamal Aizimi 21 for the Home Owners, with Jimmy Hendricksen scoring 24 in a losing cause for the Plumbers (7-8).

For the second straight day, Elite Stars Elgin turned their contest into a laugher in the opening quarter. The Stars opened the scoring 17-0 against Cole-Munro Foods, holding the Trout scoreless for mokre than seven minutes to open the game.
It was never in doubt from that moment as they ran away in a blowout 97-49.
Leading 21-8, 46-25 and 75-36 after each quarter, the fourth was just a formality.
Rob Wakefield had 30 points and Josh Vigars 24 for the Stars (11-5) who got double figures from three others including Brian Apfelbeck (15) and Karsten Groen and Nick Lawrence adding 10 each.
Jack Girden had 18 for the Trout (9-8) who struggled from the field but remain one game over . 500

As we near the final quarter of the regular season, the race for the Blair Clarke Memorial Trophy is heating up.
Talbot Trail Physiotherapy (10-6) on the backs of Ryan Pflanzer's 28 points beat Ambrose Plumbing (7-7) 82-58 to pull into a temporary tie for top spot Monday night. Geremey Deschutter had 19 points with Aaron Baker and Bradley Young adding 13 as TTP took advantage of an undermanned Plumbers squad. Steve Barton had 26 pts in a losing cause as the Plumbers fall back to .500.

Less than an hour later, Elite Stars Elgin (10-5) regained top spot in the league by a 1/2 game with the most lopsided score in recent memory. They pummeled Home Hardware (7-9) 94-43 in a game which was over just minutes in. The Stars took a 30-11 lead after one, then were up 48-25 at the half. All seven players scored at least nine points for the Stars who were topped by Rob Wakefield with 21 and Josh Vigars with 20. Mark Cummings had a dozen for the Home Owners in a losing cause.

In the finale, Cole-Munro Foods kept their regular season title hopes alive with a 74-60 win over Mackie's. The Trout got 16 first half points from Jack Girden and 11 from Oliver Taylor before the break as they lead comfortably 38-25 at the half. Mackie's fought back late in the third and cut the defecit to as little as seven, but couldn't get a key stop. Girden had 28 points and Taylor 19 for the winners (9-7).
Ian Thomson had 17 points for the OrangeAde's (3-12) who have dropped seven in a row, and played once again without their top two draft choices.

Elite Stars Elgin pulled off a massive comeback to beat Home Hardware 76-75 in a wild finish Wednesday night.
Trailing by 13 at the half, the Stars battled back in the third and took a 56-55 lead. Late in the fourth, with their backs agianst the wall and down by eight, they furiously came back to go ahead on a Rob Wakefield bucket with just 30 seconds to go.
With four seconds on the clock, Kamal Aizimi went to the line needing just one to tie and couldn't make either free throw. The Home Owners couldn't get off a game winning shot attempt as time expired.
The Stars (9-5) now re-take the league lead after outscoring their opponent 44-30 in the second half.
Wakefiled had 21, Josh Vigars 19 and Mike Morrison 17 for the winners.
Aizimi's 27 point effort which included 11 in the final frame was soured by how the game ended for the Home Owners (7-8). Mark Cummings had 18 points and Nav Baushal had 15 in a losing cause.

Ambrose Plumbing have won three in a row after a 100-82 blowout of Talbot Trail Physiotherapy (TTP). The Plumbers had this one wrapped up from the opening tip with Jimmy Hendricksen taking advantage of an opponent with no forwards available. He'd score 25 of his game high 39 for the Plumbers (7-6) who get above the .500 mark. Four others scored double digits with Merrck Mount (15), Steve Barton (14), Tyler Annett (13) and Andrew Lynch adding 11.
Ryan Pflanzer had 30 points and Geremey DeSchutter 28 for TTP (9-6) who drop a half game out of first.

In the other contest Cole-Munro Foods beat Mackie's 79-72 to improve to a game over. 500 and just one and a half out of top spot in a congested standings.
The Trout (8-7) came out of the gate hot scoring 31 opening quarter points against the OrangeAde's zone. After leading by 11 at the break, they extended their lead to 21 by the start of the fourth. However Mackie's didn't give up. A full court press caused some turnovers, and they cut the lead to as little as five in the final minute before falling.
Jack Girden scored 27 points with Oliver Taylor 18 and Andrew Cole 15 for the winners.
Tai Montfort lead four players in double figures for the OrangeAde's (3-11) who have dropped six in a row.

On the back of a 44-point performance by league scoring leader Ryan Pflanzer, Talbot Trail Physiotherapy (TTP) held off Elite Stars Elgin 78-73 Monday night to take over top spot.
With the score deadlocked after 10 minutes, the Physiotherapists (9-5) outscored the Stars 24-10 in the second quarter to pull up a 48-34 lead at the break.
In the third, the Stars started to chip away and brought the defecit to just eight entering the fourth.
The score eventually closed to two, but a three-point play by Pflanzer kept enough of a cushion to defeat the league leading Stars (8-5)
Isaiah Kelch had 13 points for the winners, and Geremey Deshutter added a dozen for TTP who have closed within 1.5 games of the lead.
Brian Apfelbeck had 25 points and Rob Wakefield added 21 in a losing cause.
The middle contest looked like a couple of teams whose players hadn't been around recently. The reason is, they haven't had full rosters recently.
The game started like it was being played by Mason's, with the score just 10-6 after one. The scoring expanded in the second, as Home Hardware took a 26-24 lead into the second half over Cole-Munro Foods.
It was all Home Owners after that point, as they caused some turnovers and just had better offensive opportunities. They cruised to a 62-48 win.
Nav Kaushal had 16 points with Kamal Aizimi adding 13 and Matt Agbetiafa had 12 for the Home Owners who made it back to .500 at 7-7.
Jack Girden was the only member of the Trout (7-7) who had double figures wtih 10.

In the finale, Ambrose Plumbing outscored Mackie's 25-9 in the final quarter to finish a 74-60 win in a game which was much closer than the final score indicated.
Trailing by five after ten minutes thanks to 3-3 shooting by Merrick Mount, Mackie's increased the intensity of their zone defence and fought back to lead after both the second and third quarter.
It was the second half shooting by the Plumbers who ultimately helped them pull away. Blair Umeri found his stroke with six triples in the second half - including four in a row - as Ambrose made nine of their 14 three's in the second half.
Tyler Annett had 13 of his 15 in the second half and Jimmy Hendricksen had 14 as the Plumbers (6-6) were finally able to crack the zone.
Nic Roberts-Neef had 19 points and Tai Montfort 16 for Mackie's (3-10) who played well for 33 minutes, before falling to strong outside shooting.
