Aliosky Reyes joined the Santa Clara Cardinals in Fall 2025 and immediately made his presence felt as a cornerstone two-way contributor at catcher. A Burlingame, California native, Reyes brings veteran-level poise, toughness, and confidence to the field, quickly establishing himself as a leader behind the plate and a force in the middle of the lineup.

Known for his advanced receiving skills, strong throwing arm, and competitive edge, Reyes has become a stabilizing influence for the Cardinals’ pitching staff while also providing elite offensive production in his first season with the club.

Career Overview

In his debut season with the Cardinals, Reyes has already produced one of the most complete two-way performances on the roster. Offensively, he combines a compact, powerful swing with a disciplined approach, allowing him to consistently barrel the ball and drive in runs. Defensively, his ability to manage games, control the running game, and handle heavy catching workloads has made him an immediate everyday option behind the plate.

Through his first 8 career games, Reyes owns a .481 batting average, .500 OBP, and 1.019 OPS, while also maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage as a catcher—an exceptional combination of production and reliability at one of the game’s most demanding positions.

Fall 2025

Fall 2025 was a breakout introduction for Reyes, as he emerged as one of the Cardinals’ most dominant all-around players. At the plate, he finished the season leading the team in batting average (.481), hits (13), OBP (.500), SLG (.519), and OPS (1.019) while also scoring 6 runs and driving in 4 RBIs. His consistent quality at-bats and ability to deliver in key situations provided a major spark in the heart of the lineup.

Behind the plate, Reyes was equally impactful. He logged 55 innings as the Cardinals’ primary catcher, handling 75 total chances without an error for a 1.000 fielding percentage—ranking among the team leaders in defensive workload. He also controlled the running game at an elite level, throwing out 4 of 4 attempted baserunners (100% caught stealing), one of the best marks on the roster.

Beyond the numbers, Reyes’ leadership, communication, and game management helped elevate the pitching staff throughout the fall season. His presence behind the plate brought consistency, confidence, and edge, making him one of the Cardinals’ most valuable additions and a foundational piece moving forward.
