Abuse Awareness Certification

Starting with the Spring 2024 season Little League requires that all volunteers complete an annual Abuse Training Course on the USA Baseball Website here.  This course takes about 30 minutes and must be completed annually even if it was taken the previous year.

 

Please DO NOT Email the League the certificate generated upon completion, the certificates are only needed for All-Star coaches.  Little League International and BRLL use reports generated by USA Baseball as verification.  Please make sure that you follow the instructions under step #1 closely by joining Boca Raton LL or you will not show up on these reports.

YOU MUST CHOOSE BOCA RATON LL AS YOUR "LITTLE LEAGUE – LOCAL LEAGUE" OR WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE COURSE. 

 

Steps to Setup Your USA Baseball Account and Complete Your Training

 

  1. Create an account or sign in to USABDevelops.com

IMPORTANT: When creating your account, you must select “Boca Raton LL” from the “Little League – Local Leagues” drop-down menu and click “+ Join”.  This step is often overlooked and if not complete BRLL will not be able to access your results.  If you miss this step, you must go back into your account and update your Local League.  Click your name in the top right corner > select MY ACCOUNT > click UPDATE MY PROFILE > scroll down select “Boca Raton LL” from the “Little League – Local Leagues” drop-down menu and click “+ Join”. 

 

  1. Click on EDUCATION in the banner 
  2. Select COURSES
  3. Find and click “Abuse Awareness for Adults” - IF THE SITE SAYS COMPLETED FROM LAST YEAR YOU NEED TO RETAKE THE COURSE SEE BELOW
  4. Click “Enroll”
  5. Click “Start Course”
  6. Complete Course
  7. Pass the Quiz at the end of the Course

If the course is listed as completed and this was from the previous year you must retake the course

  1. Click your name in the right corner and select "My Account"
  2. Select Courses on the left
  3. Find Abuse Awareness for Adults and click "Restart Course"

 

Steps to Update Your USA Baseball Account

If you set up your account and forgot to link it to Boca Raton LL follow the below steps to update your account.

 

Step 1: Navigate to https://usabdevelops.com, log in, and click on My Account in the top right-hand corner.

 

 

Step 2: Click on Update My Profile

 

Step 3: Scroll down to find the Little League - Local Leagues, if Boca Raton LL is not listed select it from the dropdown and click Join.  This step is crucial lots of people forget to click the Join button.

Step 4: After clicking Join scroll down on the page and then click UPDATE
