The MCBL is pleased to learn that Dave Kahn, a former MCBL player, has been selected as a 2010 All-American, and has also been named the 2010 Division III Player of the Year. He was named Player of the Year not only by D3Baseball.Com but was a unanimous choice for Player of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Dave played for the Putty Hill Panthers Blue during the 2009 MCBL season and was a starting outfielder for the 2009 MCBL All-Star Team.
This past spring, Dave played for the John Hopkins Blue Jays and batted .473 while hitting 16 homers, driving in 70 RBIs and stealing 18 bases. He was the Centennail Conference Player of the Year while leading Johns Hopkins to a national #1 ranking for all Division III baseball teams. He is the first player in school history with at least 70 hits, 70 runs scored and 70 runs batted in.
