The MCBL is pleased to learn that two former MCBL players have been drafted by the pros.

Austin Knight played 2B/SS for the Columbia Reds in 2009.  This past spring he played for the Palm Beach Community College in Florida.  Austin was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 37th round of this year's Major League Baseball 2010 Draft.

Drew Permison pitched for the Columbia Reds in 2009.  This past spring he played Towson University.  He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 42nd round.
