Championship Game Set:

The 2013 MCBL post season continues Friday night, July 26th at  Joe Cannon Stadium with the championship game.  

The 6:00 pm championship game pits Dig in Baseball verse the Baltimore Chop.  Should Dig In win (giving the Chop thier first tournament loss), a second winner take all game will be played at 8:45 pm.

Thursday night's action had Gaithersburg jumping out explosively to a 5-0 lead in the first inning against the visiting Frederick Hustlers.  But the Hustlers then shut down the Giants the rest of the way and scored in 3 big innings to win 12-5.

The nightcap featured a great pitching duel until Dig In broke thru with a couple of timely singles to finally outlast Frederick 4-0. 

Congratulations go to the Gaithersburg Giants and the Frederick Hustlers for having fine seasons.
