Down to the Wire!!!

The 2014 regular season ends tonight at midnight, and while the top six teams have been determined for the playoffs, the seeding amoung these teams for the postseason tournament is up for grabs. 

Key games tonight include the Giants at the Panthers and the Big Train Stars at the Pros.   These games will go a long way toward determining who gets the # 1, # 2 and # 3 seeds.

For the first time in the history of MCBL, we have the possibility of a 3 way tie for first place.  If Putty Hill and the Pros win tonight, Putty Hill, BCC Big Train Stars and the Gaithersburg Giants will all end up with 23 wins each.  Preliminary analysis suggests that all the tiebreakers outlined in the By-Laws may be exhausted and it may come down to a coin flip. 

It also appears that the Baltimore Chop's game against Dig In Baseball will decide who gets the   # 5 and # 6 playoff seeds.   The KOA Sports Warriors have locked up the # 4 seed.

With the Pros hosting the Big Train Stars starting at 7:00 pm, it may not be till late this evening when we have a chance to start figuring out who will be seeded where.
