MCBL Championship Game Set
The #3 seed Putty Hill Panthers jumped out to an early 4 - 0 lead on one hit in the top of the first inning to put the BCC Big Train Stars in a deep hole. BCC kept chipping away until in the bottom of the eighth when All-Star Jack Hennessey laced his third hit of the game to right field to drive in the go-ahead run. Putty Hill couldn't score in the ninth and lost to BCC 5 - 4.
Thus, the #2 seed KOA Sports Warriors will square off against the #1 seed BCC Big Train Stars in the MCBL Championship game. The game will be played at 7:00 pm at Bachman Field. Having one loss already, BCC needs to win two games from KOA while KOA need only win one game.
If KOA wins on Thursday, they claim the championship. If BCC wins on Thursday, the final game will be 1:00 pm Saturday at St. Paul's High School.
Good luck to both teams!!
See ya at the ball field.
