To our CMH Families:
Just 1 week ago we were eagerly awaiting a reduction to the Pandemic response system to code orange for Southern Health. Plans were in place with PVMHA to have 2 weeks of practices followed by a season of exhibition games.
Unfortunately, restrictions on indoor sports will be extended until at least February 12th now. CMH has consulted with CDRC if holding ice in the arena should continue. Although it was a difficult decision, it is one that CMH supports. The 20/21 Hockey season has come to a close.
In the near future, the CMH board will meet to develop a process to issue refunds. Many factors are still unknown. PVMHA has verbally agreed to refunding team and league fees 100%. However, Hockey MB is still working on what their refunds will be. Refunds will not be distributed until the season can be reconciled.
I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding through this difficult hockey season.
Sincerely,
CMH
***In light of the recent surge in positive Covid cases within our region, and after careful deliberation, the Pembina Valley Minor Hockey Association board has voted to implement a full pause of all hockey activities within the PVMHA region until November 15, 2020.
During this time, the region will continue to monitor positive case rates, and consult with the regional health care providers to determine the best course of action moving forward.
This pause includes all games, both league and exhibition, as well as practices.
The board assures you this decision was not made lightly, it was felt this pause would be the best course of action to understand the present infection severity and provide a safe hockey environment for all involved moving forward.***
Respectfully,
Matt Bestland
Director PVMHA
