  1. Overview (3-4 mins)
    1. Opening Remarks
      1. Prime Directive
      2. 2nd Half Schedule Upload Today (Midnight)
      3. Week One: Community Service Event No. 1 (Food Drive)
      4. Change in League Calendar Due to New England Championship Change
      5. Key How-To Items
        1. Uploading Your Rosters
        2. Entering Your Scores
        3. Changing Games
  2. Prime Directive.
    1. We work together to resolve issues off the court--and compete intensely on the court.  We strive to address issues without having to escalate them to the Club Presidents or the League.
    2. We communicate with respect.  We disagree without being disagreable.  We don't yell or scream at each--or write unproductive emails.  In fact, when we communicate we like to start it with, "we all really appreciate everything you do for our kids and community... [but"
    3. We play every possession like the 7th game of the WNBA or NBA Finals. Because the most important winning habit is that success demands maximum effort at all times.
  3. Scheduling.
    1. Once loaded, the Clubs then own them—and are managed by each towns scheduler.
    2. League monitors from that point forward.
    3. Joe Gianconne lends support (but town schedulers manage changes).
  4. Playoff Format.
    1. NIT Format Remains the Same (which is in the exclusive discretion of the League for the teams that finish below .500).
    2. NCAA
      1. Seeding Methodology.
        1. The League will generate brackets and seed teams in a matter that is in the best interests of the League, always accounting for team and gym availability.
        2. Each team shall be assigned a seed based upon their won/loss record.
        3. The first tie breaker is head-to-head competition.  The second tie-breaker is fewest points allowed.
        4. The two worst teams in each bracket will play one another in a “play in” game.
        5. The winner of the “play-in” game will feed into the bottom of bracket, i.e. the lowest remaining seed in the bracket.  (The winner of the play-in game will not play the No. 1 seed because it’s never a competitive game in youth basketball.)
        6. Note: the top seed will NOT play the lowest seed in the opening round—because its not a competitive game.
      2. Playing At Home
        1. If you are the higher seed, we will accommodate your request to play at home IF you have gym slots before the playoffs commence.
        2. The League reserves the right the move any game, including the Final Four & Championship Games to a neutral site.
      3.  Small & Large Brackets
        1. We’re assessing whether the NCAA brackets can be separated into Small (Class S/M) and Large (Class L/LL)
  5. Key How-Tos.
    1. How Do I Add/Upload My Team's Roster
      1. We do not limit the number of players on your roster but recommend no more than 10 players (as it's challenging to incorporate any more than that in each game).
      2. You must be logged on to the site.
      3. Go to Your Team Page .
      4. Click on the Admin button at the top right hand corner.
      5. There are multiple ways to add your roster but the simplest way is to click on "People" and then "Roster" and then click on the "Add Player" button to add a player.

  1.  How to Change a Game
    1. Step 1:  Please do not cancel on your opponent and first try and find some way to play—even with five.  Cancellations cause extreme consternation (and kill Leagues).  They also represent the number one reason teams are not invited back.
    2. Step 2.  If there is truly no way for your team to play, contact your Opponent and Your Club President (who is always managing a Club’s home gym to alert them as soon as possible).
    3. Step 3.  Try to work with your opponent to find another date to play the game but again, this is not always possible because gym time is our most precious resource.  And then,
  • Go to the game in the website.
  • Turn on Admin mode.
  • Click the “Info” icon and change the game opponent/logistics..
