Jerry O'Grady, the first inductee into the CSBL Hall of Fame, passed away on May 18th, 2023, in Sarasota Florida. Jerry was born in Chicago on August 12th, 1950. He attended Mendel Catholic High School and graduated from Downers Grove South High School in 1968. In 1972, he graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in communications. Initially employed in medical sales, Jerry joined HighTech Medical Park in Palos Heights Illinois. He retired in 2007 as President and Vice-President of Advocate HealthCare. Jerry's lifelong passion was sports. He was a semi-pro baseball player and player-coach for 31 years (High Tech Scanners). He was proud that several of his players advanced to the minor and major leagues. He was an avid Tampa Bay Rays, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs fan. He was loved by all that knew him and will truly be missed, especially by the CSBL managers and players who had the privilege of playing with and against him.
